Worked OK not to my liking. Glue on mount you need to know where you want it the first time you use it. The buttons made it difficult to move between menu settings and videos. I could only play video in one minute segments. no audio OK if that's what you want. Video quality very good, I decided to upgrade to Garman nüvicam, very good decision!

This is a so so dashcam with some annoying quirks that hopefully can be corrected through software updates. First the pros: Good quality recording, easy to install, software easy updated using Garmin Express. Now the cons: The warning beeps when the GPS thinks you're too close to the vehicle in front of you are extremely annoying during daylight, they rarely work at all when it's dark or rainy. Anyone who has driven on highways around larger cities knows that you can't leave a gap based on the handbook from the DMV, it just doesn't work. This thing beeps all the time. On the other hand when you really need it, when it's dark it hardly beeps at all. The database for so called safety cameras is not very current either, I pass some on my way to work that were installed in July, no reaction at all. It doesn't record sound either here in the US (it does in the EU). Probably illegal in some jurisdictions. I would not have bought it if I knew then what I know now. Hopefully there will be some firmware updates that will fix some of the things I dislike.

The picture is very clear, the GPS and speed are nice. I wish it had a bluetooth or wifi connection so things could be transferred to your phone without removing the SD card. Additional,y you can save the last few minutes of it with the push of a button, but I wish I could configure the amount of time it goes back. that way, I could leave my truck parked for an hour and come back and save the video to see if anyone stole anything out of the back.

On the initial examination of this product I thought it was an actual Garmin GPS with a built-in-camera. When I picked it up, I discovered that it was just the camera. If it wasn't for the amazing price reduction I was discounted I don't think I would have discovered the remarkable use I would have for the device. It's easy to operate and you can record or take still photos.it was definitely worth getting.

It's a decent dashcam. Video quality is good. Drawback to some may be that this camera does not record sound. The forward collision warning is a cool feature but does get annoying after a while and it doesn't always work right. I have one and my girlfriend has one so I guess I can recommend it to a friend.

Great DashCam

Overall a very nice dash cam, with excellent record quality. I bought this one over the Garmin 25 as it has the potential to stop you from hitting the car in-front (able to detect the distance between your car and the one in front).
I have mine on the medium setting, but it is not reliable, but I just need it to work once. There is also a feature in the device that lets you know if you are in a speed camera area, which is pretty nice.
I have read that you have to pay for this service, but right now mine is working. Maybe in a 1yr this will change.
All in all, great device with great image quality. Probably the best reason to get this. But it also comes with some nice perks with the collision warning system (works sometimes), and the speed camera location warnings.

After many weeks of research I finally settled on the Garmin dash cam 35. Quality feel and ease of use is what sold me. The picture of this camera gives the illusion that it is huge, it's not
, it is actuality quite small and unobtrusive. I like the fact you can take it out of the vehicle, hook it up to the computer and view the files without having to download a bunch of files or spend enormous amount of time subscribing. Great product and middle of the road affordability. No disappointments.

I've tried so many others that have all failed or not worked out very well. One stopped recording when I needed it most! Only complaint is the mounting of this camera. It's mounted with strong stick tape and once it's on, IT'S ON! I would like to have a suction cup but I guess they didn't plan on anyone moving it. Great product!

Good Video, Easy To Use, Reliable

The settings are easy to change using the buttons on the camera as well as with the app using my iMac. The initial warning screens at power up are displayed for at least 15 seconds during which time the camera will not record any video. The crosshairs for aiming are unobtrusive and very helpful for properly aiming the camera. The 1080HD videos contain satellite coordinates, date, time and speed at the bottom which are clearly visible when viewed on a computer but are not so legible on the 3" display. While it is true that there is no sound recording on the videos there is no claim on the packaging that makes the assertion that it records sound. The videos can be viewed on a computer in 60 second segments or in 15 minute or longer segments. Knowing the time that an event occurred makes it easy to use a computer to isolate the segment containing the event to be viewed. The proximity warning screen and associated tone are a good reminder that one is following too closely and video is still being recorded during the warning display. I have not had an event involving the G force sensor. The only feature about the system that I do not like, and it is a minor one to me, is the mounting bracket. I do not like that it is mounted to the windshield with an adhesive but I expect it to stay reliably in place and not detach the way suction cups do. The unit come with a 4GB microSDHC card and is easily upgradable to a maximum of 64GB which will record 80 minutes of 1080HD video. The video continuously records while the vehicle is in motion and will record over the oldest video when the memory card is full. The most recent video is always available. Think of it as FIFO-first in, first out. I am very pleased with the simplicity of set up, operation and quality of the videos. I gave the unit 4 stars for the adhesive mounting bracket only. I highly recommend this unit.

The Garmin Dash Cam 35 is the best dash camera that I've used. The fact that it is GPS enabled automatically produces speed, coordinates, time, and date. You never have to reset these functions because it picks them up from satellites when you drive.

I haven't needed it for an emergency yet but took some video just to see if it was all I'd heard, and it was great. Awesome clarity and easy to use (although I had to buy a bigger data card as it only comes with a 4g).
