after reading all the reviews and specs on the dashcam I decided to give it a try. It really is a decent cam. everything worked as described. in order to get the dashcam to start and stop automatically it has to be plugged into a cigarette lighter that only has power when the key is turned on. If you have a constant power socket it will stay on all the time. the only downfalls I found were 1. The mount is "sticky taped" to your windshield. once you stick it on you cannot get it off without destroying the tape (which makes the mount useless) or crack your windshield. 2. NO AUDIO RECORDING. This is big for me personally. for this much money the least it could have is a mic. OVERALL a nice set it and forget it dashcam. If you can live with the downfalls it is a good purchase. I am returning it because I need audio for my purposes.

Easy to set up works as it says it does. First day I installed it in my service truck a cable across the road smacked my windshield. The camera captured everything and it was easy to watch on my laptop at home slow motion reverse ... even gave me warnings when people cut in front of me to back off.. love it.

It's a good camera, quality is good, I actually prefer a suction cup mount and this one comes with a stick on.

Very easy to setup and instructions are clear. Does NOT record sound due to it being the US version of the 35. can be hard to decipher license plates at night but I am very satisfied with the camera and it does everything I need.

Great video quality, also nice features like your GPS location and speed printed at the bottom of the video.

Came in handy first time out. Slowing for a yellow light which changed to red before I got to the line only to see a tractor trailer coming in my rear view mirror. Pulled out further into the intersection saw nothing but grill in my mirror. He did not hit us but it made me question myself. Reviewed the video and the light was red before I got near the intersection. In my mind I was right but what did the trucker think I should run a redlight???

Picked this unit from many others for it's screen size, on board power and 12volt charger. II have an older Garmin GPS that has held up extremely well so I'm placing my trust in the brand on this one. Hooked to PC the video's were impressive for the size of the unit. I was not expecting them to be as clear as they are. Only down side so far is the adhesive mount - that is unacceptable! Took my Garmin GPS suction mount, and used it. Problem with that is the shaft and ball angle is such that they show up in the top left of he video. It doesn't block the view too bad but it's not ideal. They don't have a replacement suction cup mount available to buy. Second is the software you can download from their site. Looks like a nice "dashboard", but takes forever to download and open the videos..native video player in Windows lets you do pretty much the same thing as their software with no delays..that's a bit strange...overall, pretty good buy.

It wasn't immediately apparent when I purchased this dashcam that it wants to permanently mount to my windshield with hard-to-remove sticky backing tape (The manual warns that it doesn't come off easily). I want a dashcam that I at least have a realistic option of moving to another car with leaving residue like this. So I never installed it. I also did not like that the camera expects me to download an application to view videos on my PC. Videos were good from the hour or so that I manually held it while driving around my neighborhood. In the end, that mounting methods was too much a deficiency. I returned it within days.

I've tried other cameras and they let me down in critical situations. This Garmin 35 works well. It videos in one minute blocks until storage space runs out, then overwrites the oldest one minute file. Perfect. The only negative - no sound. But there's GPS too, I'm happy!

The video is good however the camera freezes alot.

This dash cam is adequate for daily use. The night vision quality is very clear.

I have had no issues with the camera. Easy set up and easy to use. Reliable clear picture.

I have a friend who lives in Turkey and apparently dash cams are the norms on vehicles there, He was visiting and I gave it to him and he took it home, set it up and sent me a glowing email about the high def picture quality and the overall quality of the unit. I've seen some of the video and it is crystal clear and sharp.

This Uniden dash cam is easy to operate and has a bright clear picture!
