I am writing this review after using the watch for a good period of time. Coming from Apple Watch SE 2, this watch boasts a huge battery holding for days instead of charging every 1.5 days and can last easily 12 days with active trainings. Display is very nice to read in day light and looks very attractive. Always on display is a basic feature thanks to MIP display. Display won’t be bright as Amoled but if the display is priority, then one can go for Epix gen 2 which comes with slightly lesser battery holding. I have used this watch for running, Indoor running, swimming, elliptical and strength training. Overall I like this watch for running. For Swiming the watch doesn’t count lap distance as accurate as Apple se 2. I searched in the internet and I came to know that the watch is designed for people with can swim at some particular pace and I might be slower. Also once the watch got frozen after completing the swim and after that it didn’t happened so far. Indoor treadmill activity is also nicely captured by the watch. The main reason i got this watch is for battery capacity and for ECG. I am satisfied in those front and I got this watch in a discount deal. I am satisfied with the watch overall and I also got the watch software updated recently few weeks back.

Upgraded from my old Fenix 5. This watch is absolutely stunning and worth every cent. I take it off maybe once a week to charge, and had it on my wrist otherwise 24/7 since November 2023. Sleep tracking and general fitness tracking is spot on. It detected that I was sick and told my my sleep patters are nit healthy(due to jetlag). About to buy my wife an upgraded vivoactive 5 too. Truly an amazing piece of tech! I love that it connects yo my bluetooth earpiece and can take Spotify playlist. Garmin pay is a huge plus too.

The touch screen in this watch is smooth, and I mostly bought this because of the 16day battery life. Comes super handy when hikinh for long hours, won't die on you like the appl watch did before. Highly recommend this watch for any outdoor enthusiasts!

Love this watch. Switched from Apple Watch, and I am very happy with it. Make sure you read up, there is lots to learn if you aren’t used to it, but many more features in comparison. It is different, and the touch screen isn’t really necessary. Battery life is excellent! Weks on a charge is awesome!

I cannot believe this is a $900 watch. The screen is incredibly dim and low contrast and washed out indoors. All the YouTube reviews show this thing outside and yes there it is greatly BUT yikes is this awful without bright ambient light. For reference I love my Venu 2 and Instinct 2; but this thing is a disgrace. See my backlight off and on photos for evidence.

I usually buy fossil smartwatches but my gen 6 was feeling ancient. I've been reluctant to make the Garmin switch due to no wearos but ultimately battery life and solar charging won out. I did not expect the full health report that Garmin connect provides and it is one of the things that I like best about the watch. Using only buttons for navigation is a great feature. Much easier than trying to use a touchscreen when active. The flashlight is so convenient! I'm not a fan of Garmin pay as not many banks are supposed (did find a workaround though) I could of gone with a Samsung or Pixel watch but their physical designs are not very good.I Love the design of the Fenix 7 pro sapphire solar. It looks like a real watch and it is built for durability. As someone who works outside for over half the year on a farm I'm looking forward to putting this watch through some testing. Being able to see watch information in sunlight well without touching a screen will be really helpful when in our fields. Although I miss an OLED screen, ease of Google pay and wearos apps I think I found a keeper due to its robust health tracking features, accurate gps, battery life, and durability.

Fenix 7 Pro - Best overall sports watch

Best overall sports watch you can buy right now. Simply put, the Fenix 7 Pro is a health data center w/ great battery life (easy 2 wks+ of battery in factory setting). Durable and doesn’t scratch easily. The Fenix 7 isn't an Apple Watch experience: smart watch keeping you alert/responding to msgs or calls. The Fenix has basic text view and smart watch features, and ample storage for music and GPS maps. However, health data collection and GPS accuracy is where the Fenix shines. Users looking to gain inside on health and sports progress without having to worry about battery and durability will benefit here. All data Fenix collects can be easily viewed in the watch and in depth data is available for view/download in Garmin connect app - easy to read and to keep track of progress. The Fenix 7 Pro is a dedicated sports watch it’s rugged, it’s robust, it looks great on wrist and will last you for years w/o need for service.

This watch has so many great features, and seems to be really accurate. I'm super hard on any wearables and the screen hasn't gotten a single scratch on it. Only gripe is the proprietary charging cable. Overall has made tracking my fitness more fun and helped me stay motivated

I really like this watch. I wear it daily for hiking, walking, biking and even working. Connects to my phone really well and keeps my schedule up to date for work. Has helped me keep track of my health as well to lose some weight. It just makes me think about it more often. I love the sleep tracking information. I use the flashlight pretty much every day. I had to use the maps on a camping trip recently. Came in super handy and saved the day.

This watch does not integrate to a to a iPhone nearly as well as the Apple Watch, but the GPS mapping and battery life far to pass that of the Apple Watch. Also the health, statistics and information are all based in one app compared to apples, multiple locations in the iPhone.

Overall this watch is excellent for training and has way more features and metrics tracking than most people including myself truly need. I would say if you can find a great deal on it is worth it. The battery life is 20x better than an Apple Watch. My only gripe is the sapphire display has some glare and is more difficult to see without turning on the backlight indoors or at certain angles. In broad daylight it’s not an issue and when you’re training at night the backlight is on anyway. If I could do it over I would probably get the amoled display since I mostly train at night and during the day I wear a Gshock anyway.

I have begrudgingly been wearing an apple watch for the past few years for work but was not a fan of the look or functionality. This watch comes with an impressive battery, features which allow me to operate effectively with its built in GPS and mapping functions. Screen is big enough to easily read messages and is highly customizeable.

Beast of a watch for the $500 i paid. Garmin has really perfected the rugged, practical smart watch. It checks all the boxes for what i demand from daily wristgear; a battery that lasts weeks if not months between plugging it in, powerful precise hardware for tracking physical health stats and geographical information. Ive downloaded almoat 10gigs of Spotify music abd podcasts directly to the watch for bluetooth streaming when i dont want to use my phone battery. And best, best, best yet... this watch has a powerful flashlight. Low power red and white that can help you get to the bathroom at night or rummage through your gear in the campsite at night. More powerful flashlight modes for late night trekking, dog walks, grilling. If you NEED a smart watch with a bright vivid screen and games, you should probably be looking into samsung galaxy or IWatch.
