Great watch. Just wasn't for me.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is amazing. I did end up returning it because in the end it was just too big and chunky and ended up hurting my wrist. It was probably just my wrist size, Etc that caused the uncomfortable feeling so I wouldn't necessarily knock this product. It is insanely feature-rich. So much so that I doubt I would ever even have used half of its capability. If you are super heavy into fitness and outdoor sports activities then this watch would be perfect for you. I just needed something with some basic fitness tracking capability and a heart rate monitor. I ended up purchasing the Samsung Gear S3 which is working out beautifully especially after I purchased a Barton canvas watch strap for it. Sometimes I don't even know I'm wearing it.

Great high end gps watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been shopping for a gps watch that does more then just gps. I looked at many of the top brands, but none of them are even close to this watch. The maps are great!!! You can easily change functions on the watch on the fly stright from your smart phone. I have been using it to get in shape for a mountaineering trip this March and will use it on my trip. So far I have NO complaints. If your a outdoor person and want to track workout stats along the way, this is a must have watch!!!!

Great watch with many apps.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this watch, it has apps for several activities. Watch face can be customized to anything you want. Quick release watch bands can be change with ease (many custom bands available). Other accessories are available as well. Sapphire lens is very durable however, I tried using a screen protector and it doesn't stay adhered to the curved sapphire glass. I do wear a sweat band over it while working (construction) to keep it protected. Battery lasts about 2 weeks and charges quickly.

Garmin Fenix 5X
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the Garmin 5x. It tracks the mileage of my runs and give my pace per mile and distance timing. It is great to see the GPS map of your run, both on your watch and smartphone. Also comes in handy to see your text messages and email notifications. You can use the watch to answer or ignore calls on your phone (must use phone for actual call). Garmin gives you the ability to download different Watch faces, so you can change things up on with the display.

Can’t belive I bought it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I swore I would never spend this amount of money on a watch. A regular watch dies on my arm after days, this one keeps running and I love it yes it is the biggest of the Fenix but the info it provides keeps me working out and motivated and the apps are fantastic! Beingnlarge was a worry since I have a small bone structure for a man but everyone thinks it looks great so size really doesn’t matter and I like having map access if needed.

Love this Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Apple series 2 watch to track my running and exercise. 4 months later I was buying the Fenix 5. This watch out performs the Apple Watch in all aspects. Battery life has lasted me over a week in between charges where i have to recharge ever night with the Apple. I love how I am able to track any type of exercise that I do with ease and extreme accuracy. This watch is far superior to The Apple Watch. If you purchase you will not be disappointed

Good for fitness track
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for phone compatible options this is not the one for you , just about getting notifications and control music on your phone , screen too dark , as I say I purchase to get the most out of my phone but this is not for that , for gps and fitness track is great, and durability

The watch is a pro!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's definitely a watch more capable than most of us out there. BestBuy delivery was speedy and on point. This watch stands out for it's understated look, very classy even with formals but ready to take you outdoors with the click of a button. The battery life in normal watch mode is 2 weeks, which hands down beats the competition. PS. Could it be a little bigger on some wrists.

Great Watch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was at first looking into the Apple Watch Series 2, but needed something more rugged, provided more fitness information, and looked more like a watch. When I came across this watch, I knew it was the one for me. Great analytics, great battery life, and looks sleek. Some say the Fenix 5x looks big, but coming from someone who wore a Casio Gio-Shock for 5 years, this seems actually smaller. Mainly thin. I would definitely recommend this watch.

Great watch but Price too high
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch is amazing don’t get me wrong. But it cost way too much! GPS is accurate but so is every other competitor, tracking motion is accurate but so is every other competitor. The two pros in my opinion would be battery life and durability. The thing is a tank! If the price would come down 300 I would consider buying again. Cons, heart rate monitor. Ive exchanged 2 that had faulty heart rate monitors and fit bit and Apple Watch have better wrist heart rate monitors for tracking high intensity work outs.

It does everything it says it can do.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't wait to use this across seas without having to have out connected to my phone. Map and directs are great for a watch. The downfall is that it is not touch screen. I assumed It would be paying over $600 for a sport watch. Other then that I'm happy. with other features.

Spectacular smartwatch.
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this watch for golf, fitness, navigation, and oh yeah, a watch for almost 2 years and I love it. I bought it rather impulsively because it was on sale at Best Buy and I'm glad I did. This thing takes a beating and still has not a scratch on it. And the battery life is amazing.

Great smartwatch
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great watch for cycling. Has been on my wrist nearly every moment of the day since I got it. Love the tracking, does a great job with maps, collecting cycling data, linking with my phone. Can get lots of different bands and bracelets for it online and change the watch face as well to change the look for work and play.

Must have for fitness
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First smart watch, debated for a while between Garmin and Apple. Well, I certainly made the right decision here. Battery lasts well over a week even with constant use (Apple can't even make it 1 day). Not a touch screen, but this was traded for overall durability which I greatly appreciated as a daily user - you won't miss it.

Great deal for a great watch at Best Buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this watch during a price drop to $ 300. I wanted a triathlon watch and other Garmin watches seem to be more up to the task but at this price I figured it would be worth checking out. I've been using Samsung Gear watches for years, most recently the Frontier. I love the notifications and being able to get on the phone for a call in those, but the battery doesn't last a day and my watch had trouble with water and one of the buttons. So now, the Fenix, it has awesome batteries, customizing the notification setup took me a few tries but I am very pleased now. I have not needed to take a call on the watch, which I may miss, but in two weeks I've been ok without. At first I thought the dim nature of the display would bother me, but it's been fine. I adjusted quick. Worth it because if battery live. The connect app makes the watch a great tool with workout and sleep analysis. The heart rate monitor during spinning was not reading right for me, but my MyZone strap paired almost automatically with the watch (bluetooth I think) and now the readings are exactly what I was used to. I'm looking forward to use running and triathlon tools next but so far I think I can put away my gear watch.

Best for trail runners
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband LOVES this watch. He is a long distance trail runner - he literally runs on trails off the blue ridge parkway, with the bears. He loves the maps options, fitness tracking and uses the smart watch capabilities with ease (he uses android). He also likes the rugged look of the watch. It is very masculine.

Garmin does it again!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive been a Garmin customer for years. After this latest purchase, they've secured for years to come. There is not one thing I can find this watch doesnt do out of the box or have an app on the market for. From the water, to the pavement, to the mountains, off trail, to the skys, skydiviving, scuba diving, anywhere this thing does it job. Love it

Superb!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I rarely write reviews, but I felt I needed to say something about this watch. It's built like a tank, it's responsive, and so many features it boggles the mind. The 5x is the way to go for hikers, cyclist, etc. I love the feature where you can input what distance you want to run or bike, then it gives you routes to take. What a great idea! I can go on and on. Very spendy so I'm glad I'll be getting my money's worth.
