Best watch I’ve ever used. Perfect for guys that work with their hands, or do anything outdoorsy. The picture I’ve attached is how well the watch has held up after 2 years of EVERY DAY use. I abuse this watch from working on cars and boats to wearing it in harsh conditions while fishing. 10/10 would recommend to anyone interested in smart watch.

I love the watch and Gamin would own the market if this watch could respond to text and take voice calls. I had an apple watch that could do all that but the battery life was too short for fitness and the outdoors life. I love my Fenix 6 pro solar, it's battery length of 14 days (using all the features) and even up to 40 some days with limited features.
***********CAUTION***********
I have to caution you about the "stainless steel - black" model because the band and the watch bottom-half are gray, not black. Get the model that says "Slate Gray with Black Band". It's confusing but that is the darkest watch with the black body and black band.

I first had the fénix 5 and then I upgraded to the 6 solar. Battery life it’s average 6-7 days if you do t use GPS very often on sports that will decrease the duration of the battery. Very accurate and will recommend. If you play golf all golf courses can be downloaded for free on the watch and no monthly payment needed.

Greatest fitness watch on the market. Navigation is great because I don't need my phone powered on while out on the trail. The 14-day battery on normal use?! That's awesome and one of the main reasons I bought the watch. Can't wait to load some nautical charts for kayaking.

Great watch. Display could be brighter and more crisp. Battery life is amazing. Charging maybe 1-2 times a week. GPS takes a min to connect. Pretty rugged and scratch resistant. Tons of 3rd party apps that work well, though some will drain your battery pretty fast. Tons of data. Notifications are great.

May not be worth the upgrade if you already have the original fenix 6 pro but if you are outdoors most of the time and in the sun often then it will be good. Quick test, charges faster in sun/fluresent when you mess with power save like disconnect phone, put on lowpower display and turn off heart-rate then the watch itself will use very little battery and the sun can charge it faster, my light was about 2% in 3 hrs with things off to charge faster. So all n all not bad and solar adds a nice touch if you are outside often :)
3hrs a day gives a 1-3 days depending on settings
6hrs a day 2x that and as long as you are in direct sun
and if you turn all off and you can technically have unlim battery
smartwatch mode: <-5% daily of 100% ... +sun about 1-3%

This was my 2nd garmin device but first wearable garmine device.
I will start by saying that I have had the Samsung smart watches along with Apple's. I sold my apple watch for this garmin and I wear it every day.
It feels like I can do more and not have to worry about bumping into anything and scratching a shiny surface. this watch is dense and feature rich. I use it to track my daily activity, sleep patterns, health and time. I like that this watch also keeps you connectedt to your phone when you do not have your phone in hand, you are able to still get notifications like text messages and you can read the message, call alerts and you can answer (no audio unless you have bluetooth headphones) or hang up and certain app notifications when enabled; however, what I find my self enjoying more is that im still away form my phone. What I mean by this is that I still get notification and call alerts but I cannot reply from my watch, thus keeping me in the moment I am in. This watch helps me stay more engaged and focused in what I am doing.
also like that this connects and syncs with my garmin 1030 plus cycling computer. great combo to have!
On average this battery lasts me 7 days depending on activity tracking if not longer, its really something else. My apple watch had to be charged every night and my samsung every other day or so with same activity tracking.

Alright. It's been just over a year since I originally purchased this watch. Overall, the functionality of the watch is some of the best I've seen. I previously used an Apple Watch and I cannot say that I miss it. This Garmin watch has been a great tool for hiking, cycling, and simple, everyday life! The activity tracking is accurate, even in the North Carolina mountains where good GPS reception can be hard to come by. I've worn the watch while paddle boarding in salt water and after a quick rinse, it's good to go. Above all else, the 14 day battery life (with activity tracking) is incredible. I rarely take it off between charges! I do find that some syncing between Garmin Explore and the watch can sometimes be cumbersome, but once I got the hang of how to import routes and waypoints, the process became fairly smooth.
Pro:
Incredible battery life
Accurate activity tracking
Extreme durability
Comfortable
Bright screen
Excellent routing for hikes/cycling/ect
Con:
Expensive
Few affordable accessory bands
Lack of Sapphire Glass on Solar model
Can cause skin irritation if the band doesn't get cleaned on a regular basis
Overall, I'll be buying another Garmin watch when this one kicks the bucket, but I don't anticipate that being any time soon.

This is the best fitness tracker you can buy. It is super durable and the battery life is about a week with heavy use. The solar option really slows the battery drain when you are out exercising on a sunny day. It is comfortable to wear and pairs easily to your phone. You are able to receive any notification you get on your phone as well.

Purchased Garmin Fenix 6 for my boyfriend as a Christmas Gift and so far he loves it! He finds it so much cooler and functional than any other smart watch out there, as it has so many useful functions, syncs up with a ton of apps, and has a really long battery life as it is also solar charged. It’s actually a handsome looking watch as well.

Watch has been fantastic. Have been using for close to a year after upgrading from a forerunner watch. Battery life has been better than expected. Durability has been stellar all while looking amazing.
One complaint is with the heart beat monitor being inconsistent. I know that is to be expected with a wrist heart beat monitor. Some days it will be almost spot on during workouts and and others it believes im running the 40 yard dash at the NFL combine while im just walking. This is after I have tried different wrist positions/tightness of band and cleaning of the sensor. I do have a chest strap that I rely much more on.
Overall I do love this watch.

Had Apple 5 (which if you want to run some app you cannot see is great) and put this on. Apple watch is gone. This is the best fitness watch I have ever had - love it. Only this is that you will have to download the owners Manuel because there is a lot here. But once you know how it works you will like the cool fitness stuff.

I bought this for hiking, jogging, kayaking, and weight lifting.
The 47mm case isn't as big as I thought it would be, I have medium to small wrist, and this fits perfectly, yet the screen size is bigger and makes reading stats during a run a lot easier. Reasons to consider this model over the others -
1.) Fenix 6X has a bigger case and will hinder any exercises that require wrist motions if you have a medium size wrist.
2.) Light bleed is not that bad compared to Gorilla Glass models. I can't notice any bleed unless I set it to above 50% backlight brightness, even then, not too noticeable.
3.) Depending on when you buy it, will probably be a lot cheaper than the sapphire edition.
4.) Solar Charging thru glass. You can check the tests on youtube, definitely helps if living in a state with a lot of sunshine.

So far I am 3 days into using this watch and it seems to be working well and all the features seem to be functioning correctly. This watch was acquired to be used for running and mainly the most important feature to me was being able to download my own music to the watch and not required to carry around a cellular device while I'm running.
The set of process was easy. I'm not sure if there's a way to set it up without a mobile device though.
The apps associated with the watch work well. I was able to download a 3 and 1/2 hour running music playlist to the watch in about 30 seconds.
My j l a b epic air sport ANC true wireless headphones paired easily with the watch.
The only thing that wasn't intuitive to me was adding the activities to my watch. After you add the first activity in the tutorial I did not realize that you could not see all the available activities until you click the add selection. I understand this feature is so that you only see the activities you want. It was just not intuitive to find and add them.
When fully charged the battery life read 14 days. It seems to be pretty consistent as each day it has been counting down by one day. I have not been outside much and I do not have fluorescent lights in my house so the solar charging has not been evaluated to see if it extends the life of the battery.
I have not experimented with it, yet but it has been awesome seeing All the different watch face options that you can use as well as being able to create your own watch face. Some of my associates watch faces are pretty cool. Another thing I really didn't know about but it's cool is that you can get turn-by-turn directions.
