So do your research on the capabilities of this watch, but assuming you know what this is, and you want those functions, this is the watch for you. I have tried both bands, but love the metal band overall. It's pretty easy to remove links for your best fit, and overall i haven't found anything i didn't love about it. Having said that, it is a big watch, and I have smallish wrists, and the watch is almost wider than my wrists. Normally i have shied away from that big of a watch, and I didn't know if I would like this, but I got used to it pretty fast. I got the Sapphire crystal, because I never remove my watch except for charging, and after a normal month, not one scratch is on it. it's a bit odd to set up initially with the phone, but google the watch, and you will find plenty of information on how to do it.

I have been using the Fenix HR for one month now and am very impressed with the flexibility and toughness of this watch! The fact that I can accurately record data while biking, diving, and hiking is huge... It has also proven itself to be reasonably tough after a couple of unintentional impacts... Pretty expensive, but given the flexibility, I can see myself using this watch for quite some time!

I did a lot of looking at different watches. Some only $80 and up to $230, All had downsides. I kept thinking I'd have to get different watches to have all the features I was looking for. Looked at a friends Fenix watch (first gen) and was sold when I saw the options for the Fenix 3. A bit more then I was looking to spend, but so far, well worth it.

I bought this watch for my husband like a Christmas gift, we has very happy, immediately he started to run again !! And hiking and everything, it was the perfect gift!!

I loved the watches features particularly the exercise and sleep tracking. The display is a little dim. However, it quit working after about 2 months. If you purchase, I recommend buying the extended warranty.

Tried it out and liked it. worth the buy for me!!!
