Q: Is this watch the model with heart monitor on the watch or does it require the chest strap?
A: The fēnix 3 can be a bit confusing because there are so many versions. We’d like to explain which model is which by our part number which is currently searchable on the Best Buy website. -Part number: 010-01338-70 This is the fēnix 3 HR, this model has a built in optical heart rate right on the wrist, it can be used with a chest strap HRM. It also has the sapphire glass on the watch face. -Part number: 010-01338-25 This is the fēnix 3 Sapphire (a step above the regular fēnix 3 because of its sapphire lens/watch face.) This model does not have an optical HRM built in. You must use the HRM chest strap that is included in the buddle version.
