I got my wife the Garmin 910xt GPS watch for Christmas and didn't think about needing something so she could use it while running on the treadmill so I got he the Foot Pod and she says it work good. Set up was easy. She was using a Nike product and the Garmin seems to be more detailed (in the software). The foot pod stays on the shoe much better than the other since my wife doesn't wear Nike shoes.

I bought the Garmin footpod because I run mostly on treadmills and an indoor track. Pretty easy to pair with my Garmin Forerunner 210 and used right away. Also not too tough to calibrate; after making calibration adjustments running on two different treadmills, and one indoor track, I feel very very comfortable in the accuracy, and I find the cadence data uploaded to GarminConnect very useful. Definitely recommend!

I am an avid runner these days and I try to find the best cost effective gear out there. I do a lot of treadmill running so I need something that will measure that very accurately. Very easy to use and accurate for the most part. It is compact and doesn't hinder my stride or performance at all.

Small foot pod for indoor training

Small foot pod for indoor training. I bought this item to use with my Garmin Forerunner 610 running watch. It was easy to connect to watch and easy on watch instructions for calibrating. It's small and easy to secure on top of shoe. You simply place the durable plastic cradle below your shoelaces and clip the pod into the cradle, therefore your shoelaces are between the cradle and pod securing the unit. I've so far used this indoors to run a 5K and also outdoors in the winter while walking. Never have I felt I was going to lose it. It's about the size of a quarter and approximately about a 1/4" thick.

Takes a few runs with GPS for it to get to know you, but once it does it works pretty accurately.

I have had no trouble setting up my foot pod with my garmin forerunner watch. I needed this to track my runs when I was training for my half marathon on the treadmill. So happy I am now no longer relying on the treadmill's stats.

What can you say, like all Garmin products, it's fantastic. Been a Garmin buyer for ten years and they are a solid place.

I just started running about a year ago to lose weight. Well, I caught the bug and have started running 10-15 miles a week. By no means is this a necessity to running, but it adds another value when monitoring your training utilizing the Garmin Connect website.
I have no issues with it connecting to my Forerunner 410 and I take it out with me every time I run.

Works quickly and pretty good indoor tracker. I question the accuracy compared to my treadmill, but I haven't used it in conjuction with GPS tracking yet either.

I use it with new Garmin vivoactive. It does everything it supposed to do. But drains vivoactive battery fast. about 35% after each use.

If you are a runner or biker the foodpad doesn’t stay in place. The top battery is worse than an earring without the back pin.

Good training tool for runners

Trying to reach the magical 90 SPM cadence for running efficiency. Fits perfectly inside the Adidas miCoach cutout in my Adidas Supernova Glides. The Garmin 305 picked it up first time no problem and is compatible with newer watches. Look online for calibration tips, best bet is to calibrate on a standard track. Also good for treadmill and indoor runners. I've since changed my running style to increase leg turnover thanks to this footpod. Great training tool.

Recently purchased a refurbish Forerunner 210 at a ridiculous price and with the savings, I decided to purchase this Foot Pod to go along so I can then track my steps indoors. Works as expected and basically the FR210 detects the Foot Pod as soon as you start walking. Awesome!
