Brilliant watch for runners. Switched from 6 years of using Fitbit and couldn't recommend more. Highlights include running GPS map, great battery life and AMOLED screen.

The Garmin Forerunner 165 is a lightweight, affordable GPS smartwatch ideal for runners. It features a bright AMOLED display, over 25 sport modes, and solid health tracking tools like heart rate and sleep monitoring. With up to 11 days of battery life and personalized workouts via Garmin Coach, it's a great value—though GPS accuracy may dip in dense areas. A solid pick for everyday athletes.

This watch is everything I was hoping for. It gives me the running metrics that I care about being a newer runner and the display is bright and clear. At this price point, you will have a hard time finding a running tracker with this many features and ease of use. I have been in the garmin family for a long time, this is my favorite watch yet.

It's a little smaller than my last smartwatch but the battery life and fact that I didn't use my Galaxy watch to its full potential is the main I reason I got it and I don't regret it one bit. Maybe in a few years I'll buy a bigger version of a Forerunner cause it just feels a little small on my wrist.

Purchased to help track fitness as I’m new to running. It was priced well and has everything you would need as a beginner. It is constructed well. Great battery life and display even in the sun.

The Garmin Forerunner 165 GPS works phenomenal—fast GPS lock, accurate tracking, and super easy to use. Perfect for both daily runs and long training sessions!

I am loving this smartwatch very much. I needed to replace my 10 year old smartwatch and decided to upgrade to this one. It works really well. The steps are pretty accurate. The heart rate is spot on. I'm loving it.

My granddaughter is a cross-country runner and was trying to get a new personal record but was having trouble setting her pace right. I got her the Garmin watch and wow did that help and she set two new personal records. She really likes the app that she can see the course that she ran and the pace changes that earned her an all conference 3rd place as a high school sophomore.

Upgraded from the Vivosmart, which finally died after a few years. It's a nice upgrade, and seems to read my levels a bit better. The user interface took some getting used to...and there weren't very clear instructions. Some of the touch settings took some figuring out. But after some fiddling around, I think I got it.
The wrist band is more comfortable, and battery life is excellent so far! Can't comment on durability yet, as I haven't had it long enough.

Ive always wanted a running watch to track my metrics ans this one is amazing. Best bank for your buck! You are provided with a map of your running route once finished. You can also opt to import one & follow it. Great.

I bought a Garmin forerunner 165 after having an Apple Watch for over a decade and found that I absolutely love it and will not be going back. The battery life is amazing lasting a week plus before ever needing a quick 1 hour charge to be back to 100% the app gives a lot of perks to being able to track things Apple doesn’t. If your looking for a fitness watch that still looks stylish look no further

I LOVE THIS WATCH! the Forerunner 165. It is a highly recommended and reliable run tracker at a competitive price.
The watch provides a comprehensive set of essential tools, including reliable GPS, pace, heart rate, and sleep metrics. The touchscreen is stunningly vibrant and remains clear even in direct sunlight. Additionally, the watch is lightweight and compact, making it very comfortable for all-day wear.

Sadly, my old Forerunner 235 gave up the ghost. During the years we were together, it apparently became a crime to have a simple B&W face on a watch that reliably tracks your run, links to a heart monitor, draws a map, and maybe alerts you to a text on your phone.
The 165 is lovely and feels great and works great. But do I really need to see the time of day outlined in neon green and blue? Do I really need my total miles for the week listed right there above the time of day? Are there actually people who stress over their "Avg vertical ratio," "Avg vertical oscillation" and "Est Sweat Loss"? Does my watch really care how I feel (it honestly asks that!) after a run? How does it THINK I feel? I feel tired, because I just ran. What the heck is my "Body Battery"? And I'm not in kindergarten, so I don't need that gold trophy after a new "record."
I've spent my first few days busily disabling features.
The 165 GPS links quicker than my 235, it has a more solid connection to my heart monitor.
It feels great. I think I'll learn to love it. But I sure do miss that old 235.
