Love the solar feature…battery stays charged for over a week! Fairly simple to understand how to use festures! Great fitness watch!

I purchased this watch about 3 weeks ago. I selected it over the 965 because I preferred the solar option to the AMOLED screen. I wanted a watch primarily for exercise and health monitoring with excellent battery life. I was replacing a Fitbit Charge 5 which was good for heart rate and sleep monitoring but did a poor job with GPS accuracy. The Fitbit requiring a premium subscription to show me my own data really put me off buying anything else from them. Even with premium, the Fitbit data analysis is pitiful compared to what you get with the Garmin watches. So far the 955 been great. I've only had to charge it once and I wear it almost non-stop. I run about 3 days a week. The GPS connects in under a minute and has great accuracy. I've paired it to my earbuds and can listen to Spotify while I run. You get an incredible amount of data and charts after every activity. The watch keeps track of your sleep, stress, and overall activity and gives recommended exercise. I've found it to be pretty accurate in terms of what it recommends versus how I feel and what I'm able to do. My only negative was I wish it could run the Nike Run Club app like Wear OS watches can. You can pair Garmin watches to the Nike app to have your activities show up there, but you can't do the guided training like you can with the apps. Overall its a minor quibble.

Battery lasts a long time and its fairly simple to use. Great for those that do a bunch of different activities. Durable watch and screen doesnt scratch easily.

I love this watch. It has a long battery life and the solar charging is kind of cool, even though I’m not totally convinced it works as good as it should. Worth the cost though.

I upgraded from a 945. The 955 seems to have somewhat longer battery life, and a number of other nice feature additions, and the heart rate sensor seems to be more accurate.
