Inaccurate HR Readings with two different Monitors
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Garmin HR monitor and it said my resting pulse was 142. When I ran on the treadmill, the range was 138-142 beats per minute. So, thinking there was something wrong, I exchanged it for another one. I got no difference in the HR readings. So, this time I purchased Polar soft strap and took the Garmin monitor off the Garmin HR strap and snapped it onto the Polar strap and it worked just fine. The HR readings on the elliptical ranged from 128 to 171. So, the Garmin strap was the problem.
