I had the prior Instinct as well as Apple Watch 5. The battery on AW had expired and Instinct was feeling old. I looked at AW9 and couldn't stomach the price. I like the improvements over the original Instinct including payments, better health sensors, faster performance and cleaner physical interface. Sadly, this is even more useless for swimming than Instinct v1. Lap counting shows I've completed 4 laps when I've done 2 freestyle laps - should be an easy count. Heartrate now works for swim, but if you really care about distance, which I don't so much, it's a total fail. I'm not sure how it could count laps so poorly. Not sure what the Solar option does, but in general I saved a lot compared to Apple and I have good health sensors. Battery lasts 4-5 days for me, which is amazing. VO2 is appreciated and of the main sensors I was looking for. I like the way it feels and looks and it's not too uncomfortable to sleep with. Night mode is very good as well.

Best smartwatch I ever owned. Battery life is incredible I have only charged it 3 times since my purchase.

Have always had Garmin wearables. The Instinct 2 Solar is light, durable with excellent battery life. The updated 2 version allows adjustments to be made through the app. Well done Garmin.

Great battery life unparallel to other watch and the solar charge function is amazing. Nice durable great for health and sport. Still learning all the bells and whistles but this was the perfect choice.l

It works well and is rugged. There are many things it can do, but there is a learning curve. I am not sure the solar helps extend the time between charges as much as you would hope.

I wanted a lightweight watch that I wouldn’t notice wearing, and something that could do multisport tracking with accuracy, and a long battery life. It was also important to me that it was not flashy or appearing like the typical smartwatch. This is the perfect watch for me

I am not a regular or smart watch person, but this watch has been on my wrist for a month now and i couldnt be more impressed. Garmin has the best system for the health/adventure minded individual. Even with the barebones/lack of touchscreen capable screen, this watch works and flows seamlessly with my Galaxy s22 ultra. I am able to track health markers i never considered in the past and am well informed while exercising. I suspect I will only use this watch for a year and consider upgrading to a slightly bigger, or more tech packed model but either way, i am very pleased with the Instinct 2 solar!

This watch has a lot of features which are easy to locate and use. It’s both durable and reliable, even in extreme temperatures. Easy to read display.

I love this watch and the connectivity it has to your phone for tracking your overall fitness and navigation. The battery life is unbeatable.

If you are a hiker, hunter, shooter, outdoorsman, or very active, then this watch is for you. Great battery life with all the features I need. The Display is easy to read in full sun and has everything I need for what I do. I love the texture and I do SCUBA dive with this watch. It is absolutely fantastic.

Amazing watch 28day charge time. Versatile and does everything i want. Its not color but its long time between charges and ability to solar charge make this Amazing.

Sold my Apple Watch for this? You bet your money I did! This is so much more versatile than the Apple Watch! Going on 3 months having this watch and I haven’t looked back since. Having a wayyyyy better battery life than the Apple. I’m actually not afraid to get this watch wet either. Being outdoors and active, not afraid to beat this watch up. Highly recommend if you’re an outdoorsy person or even just a casual person that doesn’t do much outdoors.

Simple perfect. Got this watches for over 2 years. O issues Battery life is fantastic 30+ days , if you work outdoor ,they constantly charging.
