What can you say about a GPS receiver that can't find anything? This piece of junk hasn't found a single address that I've entered, instead locating addresses a few houses away. It can't even locate my home address, when I'm standing in my driveway. All this after i updated it with the latest maps! This thing is a piece of garbage, and you'd be well-adised to stay away from it. Junk! Garbage! Toy!

My husband and I picked up this GPS to help us on our road trip. Not only did it give us bad directions, it insisted we drive through every toll road in Florida. It had us get off the toll bridge, make a u turn and then get back on the same toll bridge and pay again. Really? It also froze on us within the first couple hours. Not a good product, don't waste you money....

I bought a Garmin Nuvi 255WT which advertised as Life time Traffic updates in it , But when i opened the box it appeared to be as Garmin Nuvi 255W model and no traffic updates in it. I registered the device on the garmin website still I did not find any Traffic module coming up. If you are looking for traffic module then better avoid this GPS.

The product purchased online was identical in model number to the units in the retail locations, however the product I received from bestbuy.com was a 2008 version of the Garmnin 255WT (even packaging different than what you will see at a bestbuy retail location). Very unsatisfied since I was not expecting to get a gps that was almost 2 years old.

I never could get this GPS to accept addresses. I tried changing areas and everything. It still would just jump to whatever street it had in the programming. Would NOT allow me to input addresses manually. The gps on my cell phone is 10 times better and much easier to use. Have no need for one that I cannot make entries in by keyboard.

I bought this today at best buy for 129.99 After using a tom tom for the last year that keeps taking me off the highways to take smaller roads and has no traffic updates, this model does. Too bad it DOA out of the box. I doubt i will get another Garmin or Tom Tom. Sure wish that the iphone would release a better GPS app for the iphone .

My product was a nightmare. would re-calculate during use.. freeze during use where you just had to turn it off and start over. last week I spent an hour trying to get directions to one location because it kept stopping at 57%. This has been a horrible unit and I will be returning it for another product.

Be aware that the lifetime traffic is included but what they don’t mention is that you need a traffic receiver costing 100.00 dollars plus professional installation required! What a joke! I took it back and got the Magellan 1445T and the traffic function worked right out of the box with no extra fees.

Power cord failed after only 6 or 7 family trips. Garmin refuses to make it good. If you want the traffic info, you must have the more expensive power cord as it is also the traffic reciever . For my money, I will never buy a garmin product again.

I have used my 255WT only 4 times and it has locked up and frozen on the areement screen. I cannot find any online help.

I wouldn't recommend you purchase this device. It want pick up rual locations and that's when you need it the most.

bought two garmin 255wt when using for about a few hours the screen will freeze up.second unit did the same thing..
