Purchased primarily for business, this device is of a very high quality. With a very large screen that shows you where you are going, warns of school zones and other traffic concerns, the Gamin 65 LMS is really an advancement in this technology. I used to download mapquest information, and did not want to use a Garmin, but it is well worth the price to be on time everywhere you go, particularly when your livelihood depends on it.

This product seems to work great, has a nice big screen, and the price is great. The lifetime map updates are an excellent feature that seems to be only available from Garmin, unless you pay way to much from someone else.

The Garmin GPS recently purchased is excellent and design and accuracy for making major and short trips in the USA. I have not been steered wrong yet since purchased my Garmin GPS and will continue to use it since it is good and has lifetime map updates, which my ToM Tom GPS does not have.

The larger screen is easier to read, and it is very easy to use. Only downside is that if you cant choose a town unless you have an address. I usually trick it by selecting "a" as the street name, and then it asks you for a town and most towns have a street with an "a" in it.

This Garmin replaced an older model TomTom.
After reading other reviews, I chose this Garmin. It is easy to use and gave clear directions and names of streets / turns.
It does not have traffic updates or Bluetooth. It is a very simple device to use on trips or locally. The 6 inch screen is easy to read.

Have been using the GPS since bought everyday, even for short trips. The unit has had no problems with wrong routes, and even showed me a new route to take for one of my trips. The screen is large and bright for night driving. It is easier to set up for memorizing destinations.

This GPS is perfect! Best Buy had it on sale at the same time as my iBotta shopping rewards app offered $10 on the purchase of a Garmin product so the discounts/rewards were really wonderful. Nice display, easy to use (even for the non-techie types) and is portable so you can switch vehicles if the need arises. Installed the companion Garmin desktop app on the Mac in the hopes of getting updates to maps. The only criticism I have is that the vehicle icons are quite limited and Gramin's designers failed attempt at making the vehicles look kind of 3-D to a certain extent is somewhat clunky, lacks visual refinement and is a bit distracting while using the device. #majorsadface Perhaps future updates to the device's interface will correct this, but overall, the purchase is a win!

I used to have an old Garmin model, which I can't update. Therefore, I bought the Garmin nüvi 65LM Portable GPS. Not only did Garmin nüvi 65LM Portable GPS is upgrade-compatible, it has a bigger screen too.

I purchased this GPS unit for my mother. who is not tech savvy. It was easy to use right out of the box and easy to set up. The hardest part was getting the mount pieces to lock together.

The GPS has better features, compared to my 8 year old Garmin. Large screen is very easy to read, easy to put in multiple addresses and they are sorted by distance from my location.

the store I went to didn't have one on display so,it was kinda hard to judge the size, but after the initial shock of the size of this unit I found it quite nice easy to operate and with lifetime maps you can't go wrong with this GPS!

I have used this GPS several times now and so far it has gotten me to new destinations with no problems. The approximate time of arrival has also been quite accurate. A feature I like is that on the map display it will show you gas stations and restaurants along your route in case you need to make a pit stop. The map also seems to have the ability to learn, as my town recently underwent construction which rerouted a handful of roads. The first time I passed over them, the GPS unit was confused, but on my way back, it had realigned to the new roadways. I have used other GPS units in the past which have steered me to nonexistent roads, but so far so good with this one. It has gotten me to where I need to go every time. Clear display, and it speaks at just the right volume.

I bought this because I was going to be driving through areas I knew I wouldn't have cell service. The GPS is very easy to see and the directions are easy to get to. The downside is the GPS isn't very savvy when it comes to finding alternate routes. Many times I would test it out on routes I knew well and it would nag me for miles before it decided I wanted to go another way. Google would figure it out in a second. Second, it doesn't show alternate routes while driving along like Google. You have to hope that it picks the best route. Whatever you do be prepared to take a lot of joy rides to your destinations. No matter if you select fastest or shortest or any other combination of options it always takes you some really odd ways to places. The other downside is every time you plug the power cable in while the unit is on it will want to reboot itself. Very annoying when you are in the middle of getting directions. It's still a good device to use when you don't want to waste your data, but I will used Google when I can.

Unexpectedly found myself in the need of directions to the airport. in a highly congested area. It had been 20 years since my last driving trip there. My Garmin was 65 miles away. I needed Help! Online maps don't work the best when you can't drive and read them. I ran into Best Buy to purchase this Garmin based on owning previous models. I saw the larger 6" screen so purchased the item based on three factors: lifetime maps (disappointed it didn't include Canadian maps), previous experience, and the bigger screen size. The larger screen really made a difference and the verbalization of the directions much clearer on this model over my older ones. This was a good buy; I got to the airport with a lot less stress.
