Great purchase, excellent value for features. The only downside for me, is that the DC Power Cord is rather bulky, making it impossible to fish(conceal) beneath the dash. At connection end for unit there is a large capacitor, which is the main culprate.

After some pretty lengthy research, I bought this model primarily because of the "lifetime free traffic updates" feature. The box indicated that it was the 255WT model, and it was priced accordingly, but the actual unit shows it is a 255W. Thinking that the traffic updates feature might be downloaded, I spent over an hour downloading the updated maps and "updated" software, only to find that they are quite outdated - businesses that have been boarded up for well over a year are included in the "Points of Interest" - and no traffic updates. I probably would keep the unit if the POI's were accurate, but since they are significantly outdated - back it goes.

The unit works pretty well and is easy to use, however the traffic feature doesn't work unless the power cord is plugged in. Also it sometimes resets itself when "calculating". I think this only happened when running off the battery and not plugged in.

Don't know how I ever lived without this GPS. It is really great.

It was really easy to use, right out of the box. But I found some locations indexed strangely. Our local Lowe's hardware store didn't show up with the other hardware stores but several Lowe's in the next town did! Ours was listed under general stores.

The actual Garmin unit is very good but due to complaints from customers, who felt they should be able to remove the dash disc from their car dash, they made the glue less effective and now the disc is no longer sticky enough to adhere to the dash and is totally worthless. I prefer to use the GPS from the dash and not have cables hanging from my windshield and have tried a beanbag and it slides around too much. It seems like Garmin would be covered if it made it clear in the instructions that the dash disc was a PERMANENT installation and could not be removed. That way, people could use the windshield or a beanbag if they didn't want it on their dash. This is a deal breaker for me.

This GPS unit works as well as most, I suppose, and I have nothing against this model other than a dim screen. My main complaint is with GPS directions in general, which is a software issue I suppose. After a couple of months use this unit generally gave decent directions. It struggles most when you need it most, such as specific addresses on crowded highways. If you miss by one service road or driveway, you have to make another circuit. I still haven't figured out how the traffic feature is of much help. It warns of backed up traffic, but that is usually pretty obvious by the time the warning comes. I'd say for what you get this product is overpriced but so far it has been reliable.

This unit replaced an iWay 250c. So far it is working out great as a replacement for that, except one main thing... With my iWay 250c (and the older 350c), you could pan and zoom anywhere on the map, then find POIs near that location. The Nuvi doesn't do this, but then again, I have not seen any other GPS units that could do this, besides the iWay.

Third Garmin GPS. They all work great and I highly recommend.

I bought the Garmin friction mount and it works great with it.

Excellent tool. My wife figured it out in less than 5 minutes.

Gets you to destination which is good but typing address takes time. you go to press a letter and it types the letter next to that one. Overall good GPS especiallt traffic aviod feature.

This is my first GPS personally, but I have used several others. This one very quickly finds and locks into satellites. It has great features, including traffic (although the FM receiver is built in to the car charger, not the unit)and re-routes quickly and efficiently.

This GPS is easy to setup and use and has lots of features.

We used this GPS for the first time on a trip this week. We have had two previous Streetpilot GPS and we liked them. However, the nuvi is incredible. It's small and the traffic info and other icons really help. Today it alerted us of construction and told us how to get around it. Really cool! So much better than our previous streetpilots.

This product is very easy to use. I am delighted with it!

I've had my Navi for abt 3 weeks now and I use it everywhere i go. I'm in a new location so without it i would be lost. I found that it sometimes tell you to keep right on a certain route but you are really suppose to keep left and vice versa. That's the only issue i see with mine. otherwise it's the best investment i could have made

I purchased this as a Christmas Present for my wife. She is 'Directionally Challenged' and was in desperate need for it. We moved to a new city and state 18 months ago and she is always getting lost, even though she has been to the same place 6 times, she still gets lost! Now she can go grocery shopping without getting lost each time.
