The only problem I encountered was to make a turn at a road that was dead ended. It was never opened. I like the feature were if you miss a turn the unit re-calculates and has you directed back to your destination.

works great, right out of box. good for those that are losing their short term memory. Voice is stern but you get used to it. Bright colors and excellent directions. This is my first gps so can't compare to anything else out there. Certainly worth the money (purchased on black friday at best buy online)

I bought the device because of high rating. Overall it is a good product. But there are something that apparently not good: I went to a nearby city, the best way is to go highway, but it pick the local road: about 7 miles local. I cannot understand how it do the calculation. It is not a complex route at all. I was using the fastest routing method, so it is not a setting issue. It failed to find the best route many times. I would say google map routing is much better than Garmin. I didn't try other models, so if most GPS cannot do a good job on routing selection, then I still have to use Garmin.

The first time I used it i was amazed it actually does what it says it'll do plus more. I used it on a trip to NC, and it told me when i should get there, and how fast i was going plus the posted speed limit(saves on tickets...sorta) sometimes it wasnt as accurate but thats because i haven't updated it

the overall action of this unit is quite nice.i love it and would recommend this product to other people...The value is great and all the exrtas it has is great..

Good purchase for the money. No bluetooth, but I knew that purchasing it and didn't care or need it. Like that it tells me how far I have to go to reach my destination and the approximate time I will arrive.

So far so good. I have not used it enough with all the snow and ice we have had in the metro area. Mostly, I have just gone to regular places and for shopping. As winter eases, I will use and explore more.

I always wanted to have my own GPS. I was very happy ,when I received it as a gift on Christmas. I drive my teenage daughter all over the town for her sport's activities and friends' birthday partys. However, lately my GPS has problems accessing satellite services and mostly, in the very unknown places and very unexpectedly. I feel like I have to go back to map quest for directions prier to jumping into my car. I can not trust my Garmin any more...how sad...

I had a Tom Tom I went on a trip and I had to rename it to Dum Dum, keep geeting lost and could not find location, Garmin is so different and faster at giving you drection I would compare to say 100% better than other brands

This Garmin was worth every penny! I haven't had any problems with it as of yet. The navigation is easy to read and easy to follow. We have compared our friend's TomTom to our Garmin and there is no comparison! Garmin is the way to go!! ...And you definitely can't beat the price!

Faster processing nice wide screen. The user interface is much more difficult to use than TomTom. It is difficult to exclude a particular highway or route. If you use the traffic feature there are advertisements. Garmin's map updates are cheaper than TomTom. Map updates are roughly $119 for life on the Garmin whereas the TomTom is $40 a year plus the cost of all the maps you missed to the current year. So my old TomTom one is $40 the year then $40 additional for the year I didn't subscribe to the $40 a year map update service for a total of $80.

I LOVE THIS GARMIN. I AM NEVER LOST AND I NEVER HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT NOT FINDING WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR. UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE THAT IS BRAND NEW THE GARMIN WILL FIND WHERE YOU ARE GOING. I LOVED MINE SO MUCH I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY BEST FRIEND AND HE NOW LOVES HIS.

Got this gps for my hubby for Christmas. So far have had only positive experiences with it. Only once we typed in the name of a business and it couldn't find it but it wasn't a well known chain. Got the address and it took us right to it. Great deal for the money.

The unit is easy to use and the up to the minute traffic reports with the ability for it to guide me around traffic issues is great. The only downside is that even with the current maps I have streets and addresses that were changed two years ago that do not appear.

This was just what Mom wanted for Christmas. She's pretty comfortable with technology and was able to program in specific addresses and look up restaurants quickly and easily with minimum help from me. This model has just enough features to make it easy to use.

We went on a trip to Indiana after buying this GPS and had no trouble with it. Gave us the correct routes and we made it there with no trouble. Very happy with the purchase

I bought this version of the nuvi because the free one I received from a promo deal took too long to find a signal. Used it about 10 times since Christmas and love it. Only once did it take a few minutes to find a signal but other than that, no complaints.

I had high expectations for this first GPS I own. The features are there as described on the box-such as free traffic update(when connected to the car charger), easy to use manu. However, it tooks 5 minutes to get statelite reception when used for the first time of the day. It also loses reception from time to time and won't automatically regain the signal until you press the OK button. It's not as ideal as I expected. But it's a functional tool and a good deal for the price I paid through BestBu online order.

It is my first GPS system and I haven't been happier. However, there is one minor flaw... It might send you the wrong direction. The other day I wanted to see if it would work to a popular place in town. It said take a right and the place was on the left.

The product is a little cranky with regard to picking up the satellites, particularly when I needed it in mid-town for a recent day trip. Further, I later used the Attractions search feature to locate Nassau Coliseum, but it wasn't able to find it. Overall, it seems to do what it's supposed to, but I'd like it to be more consistent. This is my first GPS, so it may be that all of them work similarly.
