I have an older computer and I can't register my GPS on my computer. Still haven't done this. I guess I need to call it in.

It is extremely helpful to put in the address of the location and then be given turn by turn directions of how to get there!

the only thing that I did not like was that there was no manual that came with it and I had to pay more money to send for a manual

This is my second Garmin, my first one only having a four inch screen. I definitely like the larger screen yet not too bulky. One thing I wish the traffic feature had was a color-coded indicator of traffic similar to what you find on Google maps. It only reports traffic delays reported such as construction or a reported traffic accident.

Had old garmin that still worked fine but occasionally could not find new exits so I decided to upgrade to the 2589. I love the new features on this model. Tells you what lane to be in and clearly shows the actual exit sign of the exit you are supposed to take. Has a split pic on the screen for very clear instructions.

I purchased this on a trip when my other GPS died. Asked the clerk if I would take it out to the car and plug it in if it would work without connecting to the internet first to do any programming. He said yes. I plugged it into the car and drove 6 states without any problem. Simple to program and very easy to see.

Was a great buy... Bought it because of my other Garmin GPS got stolen the night before. So I bought it as I was leaving town. It was very simple to setup and use for my trip back home right from the best buy parking lot. Plug and Go... That simple

this GPS is amazing. it is my 2nd Garmin and it is just perfect. the display is great and so is the voice interaction.

I love using the voice command, though sometimes it doesn't understand what I'm saying. As I practice, it gets better. I think it would be helpful if it had a spell voice command, not just a typing spell. But the directions are clear and easy to follow. Much more responsive than my old one. Very happy with it.

Great GPS for anyone looking for a quality product that is extremely easy to use and highly reliable. Just tell it where you want to go, and receive clear and concise directions. This unit is amazing for those who wany more that a smartphone giving them directions, and the lifetime maps and traffic are great!

The gps is easy to use and its the best GPS i ever had

I needed to replace my old GPS, and this one covers all my needs. Garmin has great GPS units and the live traffic is essential.

Based on reviews, I knew the voice command would not take places and addresses easily. By using history, that isn't a major problem but I did take a point for that. A person that often gets lost used it on a cross country trip to Washington DC. They made the trip without a problem and without getting lost. It's a great GPS.

Just used my GPS for the first time and all I can say is that it works so much better than my older model. Directions provided got us just where we wanted to go. Graphics were great and features such as nearest gas station and places to eat were great features. Well worth the money since I got it on sale.

Easy to use. Purchased for my 50 year old technology challenged mother. I programmed some places in for her and others she can easily look up. It doesn't always take you the easiest way. We used this to get from PA to Washington DC and I often found myself on back roads instead of just using the highway that runs straight through.

Purchased to replace an older Garmin GPS - Screen is much clearer - making it much easier to use. The lane assist and traffic made a recent vacation trip much better - rerouting me automatically due to road closures up ahead of me - sailed past the congestion :)

Love the large screen. Bluetooth is a great feature!

We bought a new Garmin GPS to replace an old small one rather than upgrade the maps.. This Garmin has a wide screen and is easy to read. The only thing I don't like is that the users manual is onliine only so still don't know all it can do or how to do them as have not had time to sit with the GPS and computer at the same time..

After having two different GPS's from Magellan and having bad issues with both, I decided to purchase a Garmin 2589 LMT from Best Buy. Not only is this device excellent it WORKS CORRECT. Not only a fast processor, but the traffic warnings were fast and correct as to the delay time. So far so good in my view.
