I never had a GPS device before, so I really was not sure what to expect, in my opinion this device is remarkable. In addition to giving directions, both verbally and on the screen, it tells you your present speed, the speed limit of the roads you are on, names of streets you are on as well as names of cross-streets as you approach them. The verbal directions it gives allows you to continue to drive without taking your eyes off the road. I wish I would have bought one of these sooner as it does make driving easier if you are in an unfamiliar area.

We have bought several Garmin GPS units over the years and each time they had additional new features. BUT they did NOT come with free map updates. After having our most recent Garmin for several years, when we went to do a map update, it was going to cost close to $50. We got this unit on sale at Best Buy for just a little more and it comes with FREE LIFETIME map updates. The Bottom Line: Garmin is the best and the FREE map updates make it a home run winner!!!

I really like the big screen, many view options. My only complain is that it splits roads - if you are traveling on the same road for lets say 50 miles, it will show you directions in chunks - instead of saying Road X - 50 miles, it will say Road X - 10 miles, then again Road X - 10 miles, so unless you open directions for a full view and scroll thru it - its very annoying not knowing the total distance you have to stay on that road.

I like this Garmin. It is simple, has a big screen and it is easy to use.

Great GPS for the money. Garmin is way better than my friend's Tom Tom in overall navigation and ease of use.

Very good gps to me better than Tom Tom easy to use split screen to show you what lanes to be in at exits you need to take like how easy it was to set up shows you where restaurant and gas stations are when I first bought it skeptical about this gps but I'm glad I bought it would recommend that everyone should get this gps especially if it is your first

I bought this GPS to replace my old 4.3 inches Garmin. I love the new features of this GPS!

I bought the Garmin because my old Navigon was no longer supported for updates. A very simple test for how well the Garmin worked: it gave me correct directions home. Most online directions and several GPS devices seem to think my house is several blocks north of its actual location but this unit was spot on. I figure if it gets my home right, I can trust the directions it gives me going anywhere else.

simple and accurate. i do not like using my phone app especially when traveling through cities with big freeway lanes. love how it gives heads up regarding which lane to be in...gives plenty of time to change to correct lane

This one replaced an older version. The new one has added features and easy to use.

This GPS is much easier to use than my cell phone GPS. I really like the large screen.
