I got this is an upgrade from a previous generation of Garmin. SO I'm familiar with the Garmin brand. There's bit of a learning curve for changing settings on a Garmin (unless you're coming from another Garmin), but this is not hard to master. The control panel here is very crisp and clear. The battery life is outstanding. If you're not running the bluetooth all the time it can go the better part of a week. Customization is superb. I've been able to set up the clock face, quick access apps exactly to how I like them. The Garmin store has many designer apps for those who do a lot of specialized workouts. I am not what one would call an "athlete" but I use a lot of these functions on a regular basis. They give me a good sense of how I'm doing as well as insight into my overall health. If I wanted to, I could easily add external equipment to really go to town. This is a bit high-end for what I do, but the ease of use and battery power make this one worth it for me.

Love this watch! Had an Apple Watch for many years so I was skeptical about switching, but it’s so nice not to have to charge it every night! I use the workout tracker everyday and I only charge it once a week and it doesn’t take long. Now I’m able to track how I sleep.

I switched from a Galaxy 4 to this watch. I am impressed with how much more intuitive it is when tracking health and the battery life is LEAPS better than galaxy. It's been an adjustment getting used to a bigger watch, but it's worth it. It's an all around better watch than the galaxy series (and, to consider, more expensive)

This this is great. The battery life lasts forever, the display is bright enough to see outside in the daytime, the watch itself is great. I play sports in this and have never had any issues with it breaking, the screen has taken my entire hody weight onto a sheet of metal and it is still kicking. 10/10 would recommend.

I chose this model because it had good reviews about app integration for activities other than running. I love this watch! I charge it no more than once per week, and if I’m traveling and forget the charge cable, the battery saver mode extends the life for several more days. Activity tracking is easy, charging is quick, and the app gives good feedback.

Fitness tracker with a more smart watch feeling. You can talk through speaker, message, but can’t reply if you’re in the Apple ecosystem. It has everything a fitness tracker should have and an outstanding battery live I got about 6 days. Light weight.

Love the watch and most of its features. Battery life is great as it lasts a week or more depending upon how much I use the GPS. I wish the connect app would convert MoveIQ events to actual activities, since sometimes I forget to start my elliptical activities.

We have had Garmin watches before, but the battery life and beautiful screen is well worth the investment. Right now with a hour workout five days a week using GPS mode we get over a week of use before charging..

This watch is a great everyday watch. The amoled display is vibrant and clear. It’s comfortable and great looking. I love being able to download more custom watch faces from the garmin connect app. It tracks my steps and heart rate accurately and swiftly. The Spotify feature is my favorite. I’m able to download my playlists and listen to them from the watch without my phone. I get about 5 days on a full charge. Sometimes up to 7. A couple cons: You can’t respond to any texts via typing or quick response. The price is a little steep for lacking features that the Apple Watch has standard. Overall, great watch and I’m very happy with it. Try to find deals on it, and you’ll be happy too.

Coming from a Galaxy Watch 4 I wasn't sure what to expect. I wanted a better fitness tracker, but didn't want to give up the smart features. Garmin exceeded my expectations by quite a bit - this is the best fitness tracker I've ever had. I highly recommend it.

Great watch, can present minor technical glitches

This is my first time using a fitness tracker, so I don't have comparison groups. From a standalone perspective, I like the watch a lot - the screen is super responsive and bright, the features are customizable and vast, I can track almost everything I can in this, and the best part is the pulse ox, and ECG feature for me personally. The only cons I can think of are that the hydration feature syncs 3-way (web, phone app, and watch itself) and doesn't self reset every day. And sometimes my calendar shows random events that are not coming from my personal calendar. For the price I paid, I'm not super pleased about these minor glitches. That said, it's still a great watch overall!

Garmin Watch vs. Apple and Samsung Watch

While the Garmin watch doesn't act as an independent phone like Samsung or Apple it has more functionality when it comes to work outs, fitness, and sports. Plus, the average seven-day battery life is great. When I had my Apple Watch and Samsung, I had to charge my watch every day or every other day which go annoying. It is a great entry level Garmin Watch with great functionality and quality.

I love tracking my steps throughout the day, so i value watches that are precise when it comes to this functionality. This watch is very accurate when tracking my steps. I can take phone calls on it. I use it to track my vital signs, which is very useful in my day to day. Overall im very happy with the watch.
