Garmin vivoactive 5
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my Garmin Vivoactive 5! The bright screen makes it easy to read anywhere, and it keeps track of everything from my workouts to my sleep. The battery lasts for days, and it’s so comfortable I forget I’m wearing it. It’s perfect for staying active and feeling motivated every day

Moved on from Apple Watch
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Garmin watch after owning an Apple Watch for a few years and the trade worked wonderfully for me. Garmin’s battery life is much better, and this particular vivoactive model is also thinner, which makes sleeping with it much more comfortable. This is a great entry model for those who are fed up with Apple Watch’s constant recharging!

Love the battery life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know I'm writing a review after this watch was released 2+ years ago, but I figure I have some good comparison to my 2+ year old Apple watch. Grabbed this watch on sale because of the price since I moved over to Android. I think for around the same price point as the Apple SE watch, Apple has a step up. First the good, I'll say this thing has amazing battery life compared to the Apple watch. Its refreshing not to have to charge my watch every 1.5 days. I'm not a huge athlete or anything, but I do like to monitor my health and workouts, and this does a pretty good at that. I haven't gotten deep into customizations and personal setups, I'm still on the default face until I get more comfortable with the watch. I have Youtube music synced with the watch so its real nice to go on runs without my phone. I like the morning notifications, body battery, weather, and sleep review when I wake up. Things I'm not a big fan of, isn't not very intuitive, at least for a person new to Garmin. The screen sometimes does not turn on when I tap it, or when I turn my wrist to look at the time. Also, during a workout, its not easy to switch music, look at time, and my progress. Seems like I have to jump around to different 'pages' to get that information, which is not fun to do while running. Again, I'm new to this so there might be better faces/apps that help out with this. I think its a good watch for the price, and offers more privacy than an Apple or Google watch. It wasn't worth more to spend the extra $100 on the Vivoactive 6 from the reviews I read since there didn't seem to be any major upgrades. It was hard picking a Garmin watch since there are so many, but I think the Vivoactive fits me well for the value.

Perfect Balance of Fitness and Smartwatch Feature
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The design is sleek and comfortable, with a bright AMOLED display that looks great indoors and outdoors. Fitness and health tracking are top-notch—heart rate, sleep, stress, workouts, and even Body Battery are all accurate and easy to read. Battery life is excellent, lasting nearly a week on a single charge, which beats most competitors. It also has great smartwatch features like notifications, music storage, Garmin Pay, and customizable watch faces. Overall, it’s reliable, stylish, and packed with features. If you want a watch that helps you stay healthy and connected without constant charging, the Garmin Venu 5 is hard to beat.

All that I need - easy to use - great battery life
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is great. The style is elegant enough to be a dress watch - none of the massive buttons that suggest military. I have read that quality wise it is a drop from the vivoactive4 that had better buttons but since I don't swim or shower with it I am confident not to be hurt by that. I loved that a lot of the setup was by default. This includes the night time face that is dull to encourage sleep, and the morning report that has good info. The choice of free faces could be better but the ones that are not free are not so expensive that you don't want to try them. It picks up the GPS fast enough and it looks as though the GPS is accurate. Battery life is great. I am not an athlete and so there are days I don't use the GPS. 24 hrs without GPS seems to consume 4% of the battery. This will drop over time but I think I am looking at charging every 4 days. That is great for business trips. I wish there were wireless charging but I don't know what features I would have to give up for that. I don't like proprietary cables. The cable is regular USB at one end. It can be regular USB at the other too. At the end of the day I have no deal breaking complaints. Pleased with it.

Awesome watch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly, it took a little while to set up to my liking, you probably will download 2 different apps, but in the end it turned out to be an awesome watch. Battery life is incredible... Used it for a week, still had 19 % left. Highly recommended.

Perfect for my needs
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been a Fitbit user for several years, and most recently had a Charge 5. When Fitbit / Google rolled out the new app design last fall, I was frustrated by the experience and decided to look elsewhere. I bought the Vivoactive 5 on sale and wow, I’m glad I did! With the Garmin, I can customize the screen how I want. The user interface is much, much better with two buttons vs the zero buttons on the Fitbit. I find the tracking (steps, heart rate, sleep) to be more accurate. Battery life is better. Syncing with my phone is flawless and nearly instant (the Fitbit was super glitchy). It’s more comfortable to wear. Also, I enjoy not constantly being badgered to buy a premium subscription.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.…and it’s been the best thing i’ve ever did the battery life lasts more than a week without charging. my apple watch i’d have to charge every day which it was very annoying… also i’ve heard the accuracy of running mileage of garmin is superior than apple so i’ll be sticking with garmin for now. I’ll update this review in a couple months how things going:)

Worth the price
|Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Garmin vivoactive 5 is a versatile fitness smartwatch. It easily tracks various activities from running biking or tennis to even swimming, thanks to its built-in GPS and water resistance. The vibrant touchscreen is easy to navigate, displaying notifications and health metrics clearly. Battery life was surprisingly good, lasting several days even with regular use. Vivoactive 5
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned a Vivoactive HR, 4, and recently just purchased the 5. Overall, I love these watches. I use it primarily for nonral workouts, walk/runs (no serious training or anything), and most importantly golf. I feel naked when i dont have it on. Here are my pros/cons from the VA 4 to 5: Pros: (1) battery life is significantly better on the 5. I was charging my 4 every 5 days at first and then every 2 days after roughly two years of use. I am getting a steady 7/8 days with normal workouts, notifications, etc on the 5. (2) New AMOLED display is head over heels better than prior versions. (3) ability to respond to texts and calls has been upgraded. Cons: (1) They are getting cheap with builds. Looks like they are making the VA 5 their entry watch, and the 4 was made better. The button are now plastic, and I've seen a lot of people saying it is easily scratched (I haven't personally had this issue yet). (2) No barometric sensor - so you no longer can see elevation during runs or stairs climbed. This wasnt a deal breaker for me, but certainly is a bummer. These watches have a lot of functions and pack a punch if you are active and want a tool to add to your lifestyle - these are just the majornthings that affected my use of it. I have yet to golf with the new watch, but looking forward to any changes they made there, and even if it is the same I wouldn't be mad.
