This watch does it all and then some. It's very comfortable and the color face is nice. For the most part it is pretty accurate in differentiating between step counts and arm movement. The added features and store to customize makes it even better! Great purchase.

Lots of free apps and widgets available at the iconnect store. I especially like you can change watch faces, the music controller and notifications. Outside the watch face is easy to read, inside it could be brighter but is acceptable. I get a few days on the battery and it charges quickly. If you notice the time is off you need to occasionally sync with your phone, this is not a problem.

This activity smart watch has more than I will use it, but I am excited to try them out. It is a bit overwhelming at first for all the capabilities and options. setup was easy though. battery seems to last as stated and even longer if not in GPS mode or using it all the time. the notifications are nice so I don't have to look at my phone if its not urgent.

Love this device. Works very well. Only criticism is that it is not that bright (although understandable tradeoff for truly great battery life), and for those of us with with older eyes, the print in text messages is too small and hard to read. App is really well done and informative.

I enjoyed my Jawbone, got more excited about the Fitbit (even though I liked the sleep graphics on the Jawbone better), but this device is "the" one!! You never have to take it off (water depth to 164 feet, so yes, you can shower, do dishes & swim in it) & it measures your heart rate without a strap.

The Garmin connect app is super easy to use, the watch comes with so many features that I use daily it's great. The applications like the alarms, music remote, text and email notifications are solid. Its display is bright enough that I can easily read it in full daylight, excellent battery life. This watch has been great I have no complaints so far.

I had been using the Garmin Forerunner 910XT for the past three years and really liked it, but recently have experienced some minor problems with it, so when I heard about the new vivoactive HR and how much more it can do than the 910XT for almost half the price, I couldn't wait until it became available and there were reviews available. I bought it at Best Buy just over a month ago and am very happy with my decision to do so. I am a runner, walker and cyclist and find it much easier to select these different activities via the touchscreen than buttons on the 910XT. Whereas it seemed like it took forever for the 910XT to acquire satellites, the vivoactive HR is almost instantly. Also, I feel the results on the vivoactive HR are slightly more accurate than on the 910XT. Having the built-in heart rate monitor was one of the major selling points for me as I rarely used the chest heart rate monitor with my 910XT as it was very uncomfortable, etc. I have Garmin Connect on both my phone and my PC and Garmin Express on my PC. The only complaint I've had so far is that I've had some minor problems getting the watch to stay connected to the phone and sync with the phone and PC. Since getting my watch there have been two software updates and it appears the most recent update may have corrected the connection/sync issues.

This is one of the newer watches that Garmin released that includes OHRM (Optical Heart Rate Monitor). While it is not as accurate as the chest strap, it greatly reduces the hassle of having to bring an extra item, not to mention the chafing or washing the strap. The battery on this watch lasts quite a long time. On average, I exercise about 1 hour each day (sometimes indoor spin, sometimes outdoor run), and the watch battery lasts for 5 days before I need to charge it again (around 20%). The golf feature (once you get it to work) is decent. It does not offer any advanced features like their Garmin Approach watch, but it does offer distance of the hole, to the front/middle/back of the green as well as layup distances for 150/200/250. Overall, this is a decent watch. I do wish Garmin beta test their watches more and flush out all the bugs. Sometimes, when buying new products from Garmin, I feel like I am beta testing the product for them.

    Best Fitness Watch on Market

When I got this watch as a Christmas present, I didn't think I would ever wear it because I have always been really into fancy looking watches(Movado, Buluva, etc.). But after trying it out for a couple hours at the gym, I was hooked. The HR is very accurate which helps alot when lifting or doing cardio. The step counter is also nice to have as it's more accurate then my phone and it also measures the amount of distance you've gone up hill. It also tells you how many calories you've burned that day, which is nice cause you get to see your progress as it happens. The best part though, is that it does all of this while still being a helpful smartwatch. Sure it can't do all the things a Samsung watch can, but it does show ur notifications, read your texts, answer calls, etc. Which is really convenient cause it stops you from having to pull out ur phone at the gym or at work when you get it text, just a quick glance at your wrist and your good to go. If you want a watch that's all about fitness-this is the watch to get. If you want a watch with a bunch of apps that essentially is an extension of your phone, then go with the Samsung or Apple Watch. *****

I was hesitant to purchase because I thought using Apple watch was sufficient enough. I realized my Apple watch does nothing for my run without my Iphone in my pocket. With this Garmin a Iphone/cell phone is not needed. The Garmin calculates my run much better than my Apple Watch. You can also receive messages and phone calls from your Iphone. I would definitely recommend this to others.

I reviewed several activity tracking wearable devices online before deciding on the Vivoactive HR. I was doing cardio rehab after a heart condition, and I wanted a device that did constant HR monitoring. In comparing the Vivoactive reading to a blood pressure cuff reading, the results are within +/-2bpm. Activity and sleep tracking are great motivators.

I haven't had any issues with this watch. I had the 610 before. This watch does more. I love the hr on the watch instead of wearing a strap, the texts/phone call notifications are great. I don't have to pull out my phone. I'm still learning is all the functions.

I love this tracker and how the new vivoactive hr is slimmer on my wrist than the vivoactive with no wrist hr. I think that it's very accurate and tracks my runs, hr, cadence, steps, and alost to a T. I had a fitbit before and my only complaint is there isn't a tracking for gym workouts when I'm doing P90X or something like that. My old fitbit used to have automatic tracking where it sensed when I was running or doing my P90X, so it would start tracking my exercise without my having to start it's tracking. I also thought the fitbit app was sooo much better and user friendly. It was more motivational too, i like how it tracked how many works out I did per week and if I got 5 in a week it congratulates you. That little goal tracker on the app helped motivate me so I could see all 5 spots filled! I liked the design of this better than the surge though and I heard garmin is more accurate, so that's why I went with this.

After trying the Basis Peak and dealing with connectivity issues (but overall not bad), I have been anxiously waiting for something to go wrong with this watch. I have been pleasantly surprised by how good this product is. I liked the design of the Basis app a little better, but this one still gets the job done. GREAT battery life as well. I dont use the features as much as most people would, but have been able to get nearly a week out of one charge.
