Not bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like all the features on the watch the only thing that I really don't like is how bright the screen gets it doesn't get very bright but it does make the watch battery last for days which is a good thing and I've never had a problem seeing the watch I just personally like those break screens

Excellent Tracker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was drawn to this particular activity tracker because it provided lots of activity, and it's waterproof function. I am very happy with the sleep monitoring. Used it for the first time while cycling today and I am very happy with it's built-in GPS.

Impressive!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this watch since November 2017 and it's performed surprisingly well! Lots of activity tracking options. I have used the running, biking, swimming and walking options. All worked flawlessly. Heart rate monitor and sleeping feature work as expected. Smart notifications for texts, emails, alerts and calls are also very good and easy to see. The connectivity to my phone's music app is awesome. I can control volume and song skip/repeat. I've used this watch in subtropical pacific island with extreme high temperatures and humidity (and swimming in ocean waters) as well sub zero temperatures in Pacific Northwest winters. The watch has kept on keeping on! It's durable, easy to use and lightweight! Using the watch 3-4 times per week, 1 hour per activity, with GPS engaged, battery lasts about 8-9 days before recharge. This watch was well worth the sale price I paid for it (Best Buy, Nov. 2017) and would highly recommend it!... it's a great product! I'm seriously considering buying another one for my son.

Everything I was looking for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very happy with the Garmin Vivoactive HR. It is exactly what I was looking for when I wanted to upgrade from my Fitbit HR. I needed something that was water proof and Fitbit wasn't there yet. This does so much more and it can be customized to you. Only real down fall it is hard to see indoors. The app works great as well.

Does almost everything
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am really happy that this has a heart rate monitor, GPS, is water resistant to 50m and actually measures laps in a pool. No other competitor does that at this price point. I only wish that it would be easier to read in bright light. The background light is not bright enough. However, all in all. I would buy this again.

Great, but screen problem on mine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like the watch thus far, pre-ordered it and have had it about 3 weeks. However, in bottom left corner of screen numbers are sometimes blurred. Trying to exchange as I like the watch and its functions so far, but BB doesn't have any in stock! Other points- step count can be too generous at times (once said I'd stepped the equivalent of 3 miles on a morning I had not even left the house, this morning said I had taken 9 steps and gave me a move prompt when I had just woken up and was still in bed), others about right. Sleep monitoring about right, except for one night where it had me asleep from 6pm right through to around 8 am, when the reality was about half that. Assume the watch slipped down my wrist to cause the faulty readings. These are one-offs and think maybe customizing the step length (which I did recently) will fix the first issue. A feature I would like to see added is a graphical representation of the amount of time spent in each heart rate zone through Garmin Connect, and a detailed breakdown of the "intensity minutes" data. It tells you when you have reached your intensity minutes goal, but as far as I can tell does not break it down by time/proportion spent in "moderate" or "vigorous". If time spent in various heart rate zones could be further delineated in a "per day" and week manner that would be useful too. I think that this could simply be incorporated into a software update, and hope that Garmin gets on that. I am more interested in continuous heart data for action and recovery, not resting, which Garmin seems to be focusing on in its reports. Links well to myfitnesspal account. As with all activity trackers I have come across, may also be a bit too generous with its calorie burn estimate, but is a good general guideline. I do not have it linked to my phone, nor do I want it to be, and am very happy that it works well independent of a phone. This is not the case with many other smartwatches/activity trackers. Waterproofing is good, and happy with being able to program in the length of the pool I use to get accurate stroke info. Would also be great if it could record kickboxing training, this could be an app, but for now just using the "cardio" option. Have just discovered the "strength" training app, so will try that out next lifting session. All in all very happy with it and works well, and will be even more so when I exchange it for one that does not have the periodic number blur issue!

Garmin smartwatch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this watch it is a little bigger then I thought it would be and it hurt my wrist for the first couple days I wore it, I switched it and wore it on the underside of my wrist for a couple days then switched it back to normal and it feels a lot better now! Wish the censors on the back of watch were not so big other then that it is a nice watch

Great fitness watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great overall fitness watch! Keeps me motivated in those moments, I just don't feel like moving. Watch has good overall metrics. Display is sometimes hard to read. This is definitely not a smart watch by any means even though it has some features connected to your phone.

Great for just about everything
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this watch for walking with my dog, running, and at the gym. It is comfortable despite it's size. It also has a replaceable band in case the band breaks which some other similar watches don't have. It gives very accurate sleep and heart rate data. They say the battery lasts 8 days but in my experience so far it lasts about 6 days but I do a lot of activity tracking. It charges back up from about 10% to 100% in a little over an hour. I like the fact that you can add/remove widgets and that you can change the watch face. There are now many more to download on Garmin Connect as well. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I get more use out of the features from this watch than I expected. It has been the best tech purchase I have made in a long time as far as the amount of use I get out of the item. I highly recommend it to anyone who exercises frequently. The only issue I have had is the Bluetooth connectivity. It can sometimes be a challenge getting the device to sync with a phone app or my computer. However, I tend to have this issue with most Bluetooth devices so I won't say it's a flaw with the watch.

For the money it's got them all beat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first Garmin was the Vivosmart HR and it was great and lasted about 10 months before it started give me problems. I took it back to Best Buy and got the Vivoactive HR and Im happy with it. I like the fact you can customize the setting, it's waterproof and it will work with ANT+. The downside is that something will go wrong with any tracker at some point and time and my son has a fitbit and he'll never buy one again. This is my second one and my wife has had to replace her's 3 times. But those issues we've had are more of a nuisance then a performance problem remember that all tracker will have some kind of issue. These issues won't stop me from buying a Garmin and I would recommend Garmin to anyone. JustI buy the BB 2 year replacement plan and if you have issues bring it back before the manufacturer warranty and BB will exchange it.
