The 2016 version of the Vivosmart HR watch by Garmin is a great upgrade from the previous version--primarily because you don't have to wear a separate chest strap to monitor heart rate. I also love that it can track multiple sports. I have used it for walking and cycling. It does a very good job of tracking those activities. I have not had the opportunity to check out how well it does on the golf course bu hope to do that in the next couple of weeks. The Garmin instructions are somewhat vague in how to set the watch for the various activities to sync with your smartphone. I ended up watching YouTube videos to ensure I was doing the setup correctly.

This watch is a good one for an activity tracker and a watch. Lasts about 4days if you use it 24/7 with a medium activity day to day basis. My watch is the second item i got from bestbuy though. The first item had an issue, the first 5mins that I opened it so I had to get an exchange. Overall, it is a good one for the price that I got it..

I've been a long time fan of Garmin GPS watches. The Garmin Vivoactive HR Watch has raised the bar! It is easy to use, smart phone compatible, and has great reliability. Definitely a great watch to track my runs and walks, as well as my HR. The battery life is on average 7-8 days per charge, dependent on use, which is great for me! My only suggestion to Garmin would be to make a slightly smaller version. This is my favorite GPS watch to date!

I use this for running, biking & walking. I use the gps at least twice a day for different amounts of time depending upon the activity. I usually have to charge every 4-5 days. It serves the purpose for what I wanted mostly, running and biking.

I originally considered several different models from different manufacturers before settling on the Vivoactive on a Black Friday sale. I like the variety of apps you can add to the phone and the ability to track yourself over time and also challenge others on a weekly basis. The only shortcoming would be the lack of true sleep tracking.

The HR and steps counter is pretty accurate. I also use it as a golf app so I really dig this watch.

Great battery life, comfortable to wear, and tracks my runs just as well as my forerunner did. Heart rate monitor is pretty accurate when running, the periodic throughout the day can be a little off at times. Works very well with my iPhone.

First and foremost, this is not a smart watch, it is a great fitness monitoring watch (big difference!). I come from using a MioGo 2 (and still own it) and this is definitely an upgrade. Pros Easy to use Comfortable Provides several options for tracking exercise Lightweight Cons Battery life HRM not 100% accurate

Fantastic smart watch/ exercise tracker. I've used a Fitbit Charge HR for the last year and felt that it's recording of steps/miles was a lil off. This was verified when my son shook my arm and said that my steps would increase. Sure enough they did. Plus, I didn't like that Fitbit wasn't water resistant. My Garmin solves all these problems, looks great and I got it for a fantastic price during Black Friday. Thanks Best Buy!

I really enjoy this watch because it has so much to offer. It's not too big but still large enough to see all the readings. I like the fact it's customizable from the watch face to the HR and speed readings while exercising. You are able to connect external HR straps via Bluetooth. You can link your Strava account to auto upload from your Garmin connect account. I bought 2 additional for family members I liked it so much.

Lots of good info on steps, stairs/floors ascended and descended, calories burned, sleep info if you wear it at night. It also links to my phone for weather, GPS while on runs, and provides notifications from my phone as well. I like it quite a bit, but I guess I've never used a Fitbit so I don't know how to compare the two.

I took the Fitbit back because the garmin is waterproof, dove to 110 with it and no probs. I don’t care for the rubber wrist bands. Accuracy is somewhat ok. Heart rate reads high most of the time and like all electronics, it doesn’t always perform its functions.

This is my second watch. I use it for running and biking. I really like all of the fitness tracking features. It does most of the smart watch features but not as many as my Samsung watch. I still wear this one 95% of the time. Great battery. I only need to charge once a week.

I just switched from an applewatch to this Garmin. I injured myself and needed to swim instead of running. My applewatch isn't waterproof so I started searching for a watch that was, that could track ALL my activities including sleep. This watch is everything I was looking for. I just sold my applewatch and haven't looked back. So the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the Bluetooth keeps dropping and disconnecting from my phone sometimes 3-4 times a day, not a deal breaker but very annoying! When the Bluetooth drops you don't get text messages and alerts but all other activities are still tracked.

I have had this watch for about 3 weeks. I use my watch for running and golf for the most part. I run on a treadmill so I use the indoor running app. It seems to keep pace fairly well. You will need to adjust your stride to get an accurate length of your run. The golf app seems to work well for distance but you have to download the courses prior to going to the course (unlike my Garmin S1). I have worn my watch in the swimming pool and did not have an issue that others seem to have had with the watch not doing well in water. I would recommend buying glass screen protectors. The screen is so large that it is easy to scratch. I put on a screen protector and it already has a large scratch on it so it is well worth the money.

Got this on sale for my daughter. Didn't want to spend a lot on a good active watch for her just in case she didn't use it a lot. She likes it though and it's a good size for a teenager/woman's wrist. Charging is fairly simple with the included "dock". Easier to charge than another named watch that cost much more.
