I'm a runner and this has been better than carrying a phone with a tracking app. I've ran a marathon and a few half's with this as well as my shorter runs. I use the Map my run app by Under Armour and this watch is able to sync to it no problem.

Does a great job tracking my sleep, steps, heart rate. I look forward to seeing the results daily. It is helping me keep track of my activities and stay focused on reaching my goals.

I love this tracker. After having tried a couple of others this is by far the best. The strap is sturdy and has not broken like the Fitbit Charge. I can sweat while I workout and not void the warranty like the Microsoft Band 2. The golf app distances are accurate.

What i bought it for, it does great. Record workout information. My problem is that the light is to dull to see easily, even after I turned it up.

This watch is everything you could be looking for in a fitness tracker/ smart watch. It includes the heart rate monitor, gps, step counter. The list goes on and on. I have found the Garmins to be far more accurate than any of the other fitness watches. Great buy.

This is my 3rd Garmin and I am very happy with it. It does more than I need it to but my favorite thing is that I can wear a chest strap for more accurate heart rate readings while do things other than just cardio, or go without it for bike rides and running.

The Vivoactive is a good entry level watch for serious competitive athletes. But it has its limitations: it's a clunky looking watch that does not look particularly professional: those looking for a 24/7 all purpose watch might find it too informal for work. And many of the functions are counter-intuitive. I owned the watch for about six months and then traded up to the forerunner 735, which has more useful functions (it's great for triathletes) and is easier to master. Plus it looks like a proper watch, and is appropriate in any setting

Very simple to use gps tracker. I use it for cycling, running, walking & swimming. The watch integrates easily with my Samsung phone. The app has incredibly detailed stats and everything is customizable. I recommend it if you are using this for just fitness.

This was my first Garmin watch. I have used fitbit and Samsung gear 2. This does everything I need it to do. I only wish you could reply to texts and speak through the watch when on a phone call.

It's screen may not have the as many pixels as the Apple Watch or Fitbit Blaze, but it does everything I want and need it to do. Looking forward to more apps and watch faces in the Connect store.

I own this as well as the Fenix 3 HR. Hands down the Fenix is nicer and tougher. It is also three times as much. If this guy holds up, he should have all the features one would ever need.

As a owner of the original vivoactive this watch made huge functionality improvements and added a lot of new sports for tracking. A bit bulkier than the previous model but still looks good.

I bought the original vivoactive for my husband, who liked it so much he upgraded to the vivoactive hr within a year. He works hard and plays hard, regular smartwatches wouldn't work for him.

Good outdoor activity tracker not so good indoors.

My first unit only lasted a few weeks and then would not turn on. Best Buy replaced it. The tracking of activities indoors (treadmill running, elliptical trainer, weight lifting, etc.) is not very good. It also does not track stair climbing very well. In order to track steps indoors, a separate foot pod ($50-$70) is required and must be used outdoors to calibrate the activity tracker so that it can be more accurate indoors. This was not mentioned in any of the reviews I read prior to purchase. Be forewarned if you want to use this unit indoors.

This tracker is the best of the best. I've owned another tracker from a different company. I thought it was high technology until I purchased the Garmin. It's actually before it's time with all the state of the art technology it has. You won't be disappointed!

I like this watch but it is hard to read indoors and if you have not perfect eyesight. It also does not let you multitask. If you were sending your heart rate to another Garmon device you cannot use your watch for anything else.

This is sturdy. I work outdoors and try to get my steps while doing my job. this takes the stress of going into woods, climbing fences, and digging. I dunno if that is how it works but it takes a minute before syncing with a Samsung android.

I have used both this product and a previous fitbit. The fit and feel of the Garmin is much better then the fitbit. The activities are similar among both, but I like the Garmin better.
