    Great battery - dim display

My band broke and there weren't any replacements available at Best Buy, so I used my replacement policy to upgrade to a Fitbit Ionic (much better device). The always on display is nice if you can read it - very dim. This thing is bulky in a strange way too - makes it difficult to fit in a sleeve.

Bought this to keep track on my lap times since I like to run. Like that it connects with my phone and I can answer calls and see/reply to texts using it.

It does not count steps if you are holding onto something. For example, pushing a shopping cart in the store.

It's nice not having to have your phone on a run. Connect IQ can be a pain in the butt sometimes though.

The Garmin Connect application sends a notification that "the Bluetooth connection has been lost" every 5 minutes or so. Sometimes syncing fails as well. Will likely be returning this watch soon. However, if it works with your phone, the GPS is rock solid and it has a lot of neat HR analytics.

Good Product, But Mine Failed and Returned

My Garmin vivoactive HR worked perfectly for about 1 month and its Bluetooth connection failed. I replaced it with a Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro. However, unfortunately, after a week of use, the HR rate sensor of the Gear Fit2 Pro failed and it was returned too. Now, I am waiting my new Samsung Gear 3 to arrive and wish it can stay a little bit longer.

    Amazing!

I absolutely love my Garmin Vivoactive HR. I waited for it to come out for five months and it was well worth the wait. I wanted a watch that I could run, bike and swim with that didn't cost $500. I really like the fenix 3 and the 920 xt, but I didn't want to spend that much money. My vivoactive works amazingly! Pro's: I love that I can get notifications to my phone and you can read through them all you just need to keep pressing them. The screen is very easy to read outside, no matter how bright it is. The HR sensor seems to be very accurate as well as the flights of stairs and steps. I love that I can control Pandora or any music player of my choice from the watch so I don't have to take my phone out during my run. I also like the auto pause feature in case I have to stop to tie my shoe or wait for traffic. I also love that I can change the watch face. Battery life seems great. I haven't let it fully run out yet, but it charges very quickly and I have left it on for over four days, using it very frequently, with Bluetooth on the whole time and the battery was only down to 20%. Con's: The plastic on the watch scratches easily. I don't even know how I could've scratched it, but I had a scratch next to the screen after five days of use. I dabbed sharpie on it and now its only visible up close. Sometimes the notifications do not come through, but they usually do. It is a little difficult to read sometimes inside but I don't mind since it's so easy to read outside. Also, one last con that may be my fault is that sometimes when I plug the watch into my laptop and rearrange the apps, my running app ends up getting deleted. This isn't a big deal since it takes less than 5 seconds to re add on the watch, but I'm not sure why it does this. Overall, amazing!! I just wish it was a little more durable. It's great to use with the Connect + My Fitness Pal companion apps.
