This is my first time owning a Garmin product. I came from owning a Peeble, Samsung Gear 2, Moto 360 Sport, and now vivoactive hr. Working out and running 5 times per week I wanted something that could track my workout and wear daily while using it as a smartwatch. Having owned this for 2 weeks now I can say this does it extremely well. Pros: - I experienced 9 days of battery life, while Garmin claimed 8. My Moto 360 Sport would be dead by the second day in the early morning. - Waterproof, so you can shower with it if you forget to take it off or if you want to track swims. - Big legible screen - 24/7 HR along with sleep level information. My old Moto didn't do that. Cons: - User Interface is similar to my Pebble from 2013. Pretty basic, but works. However I expected more for $250. - Hard to read screen at times. Light brightness should go higher. - Watch doesn't look as nice as my Moto 360 Sport in a professional work environment. - Proprietary charger. Rather incorporate the standard Qi wireless charger in the event my charger breaks. All in all, great fitness smartwatch. I researched this against the Fitbit Blaze and there's no comparison. That watch's popularity relies on the uninformed public wanting what everyone else has our is talking about. That is not waterproof, does not have GPS like it shadily "claims" to have, and you have to the watchface out of the watchband every time you want to charge it. You won't be disappointed with this if you're into fitness and want detailed information on your workout. If fitness comes second and smartwatch features first, I'd recommend the Moto 360 Sport.

I like the watch for tracking and especially golf distances. I ruined the first one because I pushed a button while in the water. This shouldn't be considered waterproof.

The watch is functionally ok as far as keeping time and HR seemed accurate. Steps didn't always relay though. Ran three miles and it showed 120 steps... haha. GPS seemed glitchy. (On that three mile run, it showed I ran .1 mile) As for fit, I have small wrist and I didn't care for the way the HR monitor protruded from the back of the watch. In order to make it register you have to wear it tight and it digs in the skin after a bit. The display is very very dim and it doesn't actually "light up" so if it is dark, you cannot read the watch. I returned the product.
