Purchased this and had more issues with it than I care to admit it wouldn’t update the time was always way off from the current time. I returned it once thought getting a new one would make it better but no. I’m disappointed in this product

I bought the Garmin tracker. I had to download the app onto my Motorola Droid phone. Immediately after downloading the app, my phone began malfunctioning. Within a week, it was completely inoperative. I had to replace the phone. I got a refund on the useless tracker.

So uncomfortable I had to return it...

I read many of the reviews on this product, but none mentioned comfort. After wearing it for a few day I returned it, because it was to uncomfortable and cumbersome. The back of the watch has sensors that protrude so much that the watch itself doesn't even sit on your wrist.

Broke within 2 weeks, Contacted Garmin. Paid to send it back. Paid over $200.00 for it and got a refurbished one back. I did not pay that much money for a used one. I feel they do not stand behind their product. Will never buy Garmin again.

    Freeze up

The unit is very nice but about 2 times a day would freeze up. These issues do not allow you to operate the Watch until it resets by itself about 2 hours later. I truly love Garmin products but in this case, I ended up returning it.

EVERYTHING you would ever want in a watch

I am an injured runner forced to swim and bike so I needed something that would feed the need to measure my swimming and biking and this does an amazing job of it. I am not a triathlete so I am not looking for mountains of data, I just need to know that I am doing better now than I was before and this watch and the awesome information it provides makes that possible. The swimming laps counter is 100% accurate for me in a 25 meter pool. Biking was also very accurate, more than Endomondo was on my phone. I sold my Samsung Gear S2 because I needed something waterproof and I could not be happier. Great watch, fantastic fitness tracker.

Best all around fitness device available!

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

For baseline purposes, I've owned the following devices and my comparison is based on my experience with them. Misfit Flash, Fitbit Zip, Fitbit One, Fitbit Flex, Fitbit Charge HR, Fitbit Blaze, Fitbit Charge 2, Samsung Gear Fit 2, Basis Peak, Pebble Time, Garmin Vivofit, Vivoactive, VivoSmart, VivoSmart HR, Vivosmart HR+, Mio Alpha and now the Vivoactive HR. If generally buy items from retailers that allow a 30 day return, and the only devices I've kept were the Basis Peak which I turned back in during the recall and the Fitbit Charge HR that they replaced twice under warranty over 2 years and finally gave me a full refund due to a band rash that developed. I can't say enough good things about Fitbit's customer service, but I took the refund and purchased the Vivoactive HR. I'm not an athlete, but I walk, work out and cycle at least 5 days per week! I wanted something waterproof because I like to have a watch on when I swim with my kids and I think all fitness trackers should be. I wouldn't spend over $100 on any tracker that didn't have replaceable bands in case one broke, and I also need the ability to see the screen in the daylight (good bye Fitbit Charge 2 and Blaze) and a long battery life! I use the GPS on the VAHR at least 30 minutes per day and do indoor cycling with the speed and cadence sensors paired to my trainer at least 45 minutes per day. All of my notifications are turned on and the brightness is set at 6. I generally make it 8 days until the battery is near 30% at which point I recharge it. If I use the broadcast HR feature to pair the HR sensor with other equipment, the battery life is reduced about 20%. The alarm vibration is weaker than the Fitbit Charge HR...but they all are! This will wake me up if I set 2 alarms in succession which the Fitbit Charge 2 and Fitbit Blaze wouldn't. The app is full of data but gets lots of complaints because the presentation isn't as "friendly" (dumb) as the Fitbit. This watch actually has more features than the Forerunner 235 overall except for the V02 calculation which is iffy anyway. I'm not going to wear it formally, but that's what the Vivomove line is for, and you can buy this on sale and a Vivomove for less than most android devices!
