I ordered the Garmin vivoactive HR, because the model I currently own is, (although only 2.5 yrs old) is no longer holding a weekly charge. That model no longer appears to be available, so I went with the HR. When I tried to pair the watch with the Garmin app, the watch took almost 45 minutes to "find" the app and pair even though the phone was within inches of the HR. After it finally paired, I set th HR back on charger and went to bed. The next morning, the HR was no longer paired, I attempted to pair watch and phone again, gave up after 3 "failed to transfer" messages and almost 2 hrs of frustration! Not what I expect from an item that cost almost $200!

Way better than Gear Fit 2

I had to return the Gear Fit 2, Thank you Best Buy! It was counting floor as I walked around my flat yard. So far the Garmin has been accurate on my steps and no floors counted yet. I do need to walk outside for 20 minutes to calibrate it even further. So far I am pleased with this.

Comes with a 12 month warranty; last 14 months. I started having problems with it a little after a year of light use. Six months after that it is useless: won't sync, won't charge.
