Helps me stay active by letting me know when to move. Lol. Love that the notifications from my phone are being sent to my wrist.

I recently underwent bariatric surgery and needed a way to stay motivated for my new lifestyle. My surgeon recommended something along the lines of this so after research I picked this model. If I had anything bad to say it would be sync time with my iPhone 5S. Not sure if it's the same way with Android OS but it does take a while it seems to sync when you haven't synced the app for a while. Other than this, it's a great device. If you're a big guy like me, it fits a larger wrist without issue.

This was a good purchase. I am moving more. It doesn't always register steps, though. Barefoot on carpet doesn't always count or takes awhile to begin registering. If the battery is down to half, it also doesn't count all steps. But overall, it is good and I'm glad I got ir.

Love that its motivating me to move more & that I don't have to look at my phone to see if its a message I need to respond to right away or a call that I need to answer. :)

I am very happy with my Garmin Vivosmart. The step tracker is great. I especially like the fact that it counts down my steps to my daily goal. I also like that the Garmin sets my daily step goal for me. It males it more of a "game". The "MOVE" component actually does get me up and moving. My only negative comment is that the Garmin only comes in a large and small size. I've lost weight since purchasing my Garmin and will soon have to buy the small size. Additionally, I would never have guessed that I would use the text/email reading component as much as I do. All-in-all, a terrific value and well-worth the money!

The sync software was poor at first but better now. I went with this since I wanted fully waterproof. I would recommend to a friend only if they wanted waterproof otherwise stick with the Jawbone or the Fitbit Charge.

Moving up from a Fitbit, I love how this thing adjusts your goal depending on you actual steps taken (in stead of a fixed 10k steps a day). The sleep and step tracker aren't as accurate as the Fitbit, but the iTunes control on the wrist more than makes up for it.

had to replace it due the screen going out suddenly, I'm not sure if it was something I did, but it happened twice. Worked great until then. I got a FitBit charge HR to replace it, but I really miss the Vivosmart

I love that it's waterproof. You can so many things on the screen. Like message, steps, time, date and much more.

This has been more than I thought it would be, I never take it off, keeps track of steps and I enjoy seeing how my sleep was and how I am doing burning calories.

Works great, the band is lightweight and easy to wear. I like the smart capabilities (alerts, text msg, phone, email) when linked to phone. Main reason i chose this over Fitbit. User interface easy.

Got this during holiday season for 60, great deal compared to fitbit. Does everything desired and is less noticeable than a fitbit. Definitely recommend.

I was a bit skeptical in the begging once I got the band. I would highly suggest this band. It is an amazing piece of technology. I would also suggest getting the insurance to cover damages.

I purchased this a couple months ago, and have had to return it to Garmin for warranty replacement TWICE already. I like the minimalistic styling, and features like activity tracking and smartphone connectivity work well, but the quality control is sorely lacking, and the positives do little good in a device that doesn't function. The first time I had it replaced for a defective display, which was missing some pixels, and for freezing into total non-functionality several times. I replaced it, and Garmin support was helpful and accommodating, although they did send it to the wrong address, which added wait time without the product. The new device functioned properly for a couple weeks, but then the battery wouldn't hold a charge, and using sleep mode seemed to either discharge the battery completely or lock it into a similarly unresponsive state (without the normal limited functionality of sleep mode, nor able to be disabled in the normal way). I haven't received the 3rd one back yet, but even if it works flawlessly, I really cannot recommend this product. It's possible I've just had some bad luck, and other Garmin products I've purchased have worked well, but had I anticipated this experience, I wouldn't have purchased this device, despite the features matching what I wanted.

I owned a Fitbit, Jawbone 24 and finally a the Garmin Vivosmart. I have to say that I love the notification features - I have it paired with an iPhone 5 (iOS7) with no issues. The app is not as sophisticated as Jawbone however, but with updates, I don't see it being too far behind. I somewhat question the accuracy of the step-counter... and considering this is a fitness band, this could potentially be a major drawback. I have a newborn son - When I rock him in my arms, the band has some difficulty telling the difference between a step and an arm rock. That said, I can't really blame the armband, because the motion is almost identical. All in all, I'll be sticking with the Vivosmart, though, as it's more comfortable than the Jawbone (in my opinion), and I love the notification features.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, and he loves it! Especially since he can use it to find his phone. The only thing that would make it better would be to make it able to change the wristband and make the battery life longer.

I've tried SEVERAL bands/trackers, including the Misfit Shine, Fitbit One, Fitbit (original), Pebble smartwatch (comes with Misfit tracking) and several phone-based applications. This band, by far, is the best I've used to date. The tracking seems spot on (or as close as I need it), it's comfortable to wear all day and the notification integration really puts this one above the rest. On the notifications, not everything is yet supported. My Podcast app, Google Inbox and others don't work, but Gmail and text messages work great.

This is my first smart band. It's plenty sufficient for what I was looking for and I really like the style, that I can monitor messages and incoming calls and that it has a vibrating alarm that wakes me and no one else in the house.

Performs all basic functions and reminds me to move. Goals are realistic and beneficial. Not having GPS or heart rate are minimal offsets. I bought another one for my wife.
