Many appreciate its water resistance and accurate step tracking capabilities, along with the comfortable fit and useful sleep tracking features. Very intuitive app and helps push me to my goals. Also seems pretty dual but only had it a 2 or 3 months.

I really enjoy the Bluetooth function that shares texts and app updates from your phone. Step counter seems to be accurate with my wife's Fit bit.

I love it. it keeps track of the number of steps I have taken and keeps me motivated to get moving whenever I have been sitting for too long. I have a ver sedentary position and mainly sit in an office all day long. This Vivosmart keeps me moving in addition to Keeping track of my weight.

I love the fact that it tells time, has an alarm, and vibrates to wake me up. It also has all of the critical components of other trackers.

I wanted a fitness tracker and was leaning towards Fitbit However I've been reading up on reviews that the quality of Fitbit is horrible, and heard stories of peoples' fitbit falling apart. So I went ahead and got this. IMO, quality is amazing. Only gripe I have with this is, I don't like the strap. Its a little annoying to strap it back on with the strap holder? I also wished this had a heart rate sensor like Fitbit does. I know they sell it separately but thats a chest strap.

It had been awhile since I purchased this, but I really love it. I wanted an activity tracker/watch that would connect to my phone. I need to have my activity tracker to have a visible function. This is comfortable, useful, significantly accurate and, in my opinion, the best choice until I can afford an Apple Watch.

Great fitness band plus a smart watch. My only down is that doesn’t work good under water (swimming) other than that is great.

Couldn't decide between the Garmin or the Fitbit. Chose the Garmin because I liked being able to see messages. Will probably purchase a Fitbit in the near future.

I recently purchased the Vivosmart that included the heart rate monitor, but returned that in exchange for one that didn't have one because I didn't see myself using the HRM and wanted to save $30. Despite what people are saying about the software and ANT+ communication issues, Garmin really did put out a solid device that met my expectations full-on. Not only did I get a product that looks great and fits comfortably, but something that includes "smartwatch" capabilities that will motivate me to keep putting it on just out of shear convenience. This is my 2nd Vivosmart (first one didn't have issues, just didn't need HRM as stated above). Like the first, this one synced right up to my phone seamlessly and was rocking and rolling in just a few minutes. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Garming Connect software recognized it right away. Once connected, I let it sync once and off I went. The notifications are really convenient. Keep in mind that if you have a compatible Android phone, you will need to give notification access to Garmin Connect. I found that Garming actually released a firmware update (2.5) that addressed a few of the ANT+ issues as well as some overall improvements to the device like the double-tap wakeup function, so if you are having issues syncing with an HRM you might want to try installing that firmware update through the PC or Mac software Garmin Express before going off on a rant and/or exchanging it. I had to do a little digging to find that there was actually an update, and the fact that it couldn't be done through the phone was a little disappointing since the update is only a measly 250kb. The Garmin Connect software (on Android) still needs a bit of work, but has no problem showing you your information in a nice layout. It's nowhere near what Jawbone has done for their UP bands, but it's getting there. I'd definitely like to see more in-depth interactive graphs and better third-party app support especially for sites like MyFitnessPal. As far as aesthetics, the band itself is composed of rubber and plastic and feels very comfortable when worn. It has a metal piece that holds the clasps more securely and includes a small rubber piece you can use to cover it up so you don't get it all scratched up. The included charger is a clamp that you put around the watch that plugs into any USB input. The band is waterproof (ATM not known) and can withstand showers, baths, swimming, heavy ran, light diving, etc. The software on the band feels very complete and I have yet to run into any problems with it. You can set up the watch from the Garmin Connect app or go to the website (which I found is more viable since the Connect app is still buggy). Every feature of the watch is accessible from the watch itself, including the music controls, sleep, workout mode, notifications, and some settings. I like it because you can swipe over to the music controls and when the screen times out you can just double-tap right back to them and not have to re-swipe. I also like the notifications it gives you to get off your butt and move, but on Sundays when trying to relax it gets a bit annoying. Overall I love the Vivosmart. It's definitely one step in the right direction. I just wish Garmin would spend a bit more time on their mobile apps.

Have had a horrible experience with the vivosmart. Returned 2 in 2 months. First one the screen went white and could not view anything after 3 weeks of having it. I liked the features and figured it was just bad luck with the item so i tried it again. The second one would lose it's charge within 3 hours after only having it a little over a month. Will not recommend this product.
