Then as soon as the Vivosmart came out, I upgraded to it. This device has everything you need. A display that lights up, easy sync with phone, alarm clock, timers, phone message alerts, and so much more.

Great Fitness Band, but...

Four have bit the dust in five months. Garmin has given me no hassles on replacing them, but it would be nice if I could get one that worked.

Exchanged it the first time in a couple weeks because it would no longer turn on. Exchanged it again when 1/2 of the touch screen would not work. Finally returned #3 when the display stopped working all together. Either it's not really waterproof or I've got the worst luck with this device ever. Awesome features when it did work though... really liked the move bar and it would give me all the notices from my phone. Charge lasted about 5-6 days.

It's very likely when any of these units were out of the box new, they did not have any software updates on them that we recently updated. Updates that address issues such as touch responsiveness. We feel confident the updates we released have improved overall quality to our product.

With regard to the trouble you had reading your text messages, the screen brightness can be adjusted, as well as the screen orientation, which can be set to either landscape or portrait format. Notifications, however, are always displayed in landscape format.

Device updated itself the other day from 2.50 to 2.60. Accurately counts my steps. Auto-adjusts your goal each day based on previous days. Blows the other devices, such as Nike, away. Much larger display screen than other devices.
