    Garmin way better than FitBit

App, GPS, and reliability superior to Fitbit Long time FitBit user who endured recalls, broken straps, and poor customer service throughout. The design of the Garmin in sturdy and will not crack like a fitbit. The app took some time to get used to after 5 years of FitBit, but it is superior in so many ways. The GPS acquires faster and is more accurate, along with the HR. Garmin has long been the leader and they prove it in their wearables. If deciding between the two, go Garmin! You will not be disappointed.

After returning my Fitbit HR for the 6th time, I decided to look into another brand. I knew that Garmin made awesome GPS but a health monitor? I gave it a try and was so glad I did. The fitbit had issues with syncing and would loose connectivity often which made it a real pain to re-pair to my phone. The Garmin worked instantly. No waiting, no moving it close to the phone. The touch screen and dim lighting on the device is great especially if you are trying to see readouts at night. Fitbit was very bright with small fonts that made it terrible to just see when waking up. The Garmin also can be viewed during daylight hours due to it readable tech. All in all I'm please with the heart monitor and the tracking app. give it a go but I suggest getting an extended warrantee with BB on any of these devices. If I hadn't... I would be stuck with the fitbit now

She really liked it. She was actually considered getting the Xiaomi Mi Band. But the GPS function won her over.

Tracks everything that you would want in a fitness tracker. When connected to Garmin connect you can get detailed information on your activities, your day and workouts. I had 5 Fitbit trackers. 4 HR's and 1 charger 2. All of them fell apart within 3 months of wearing them. This Garmin has not had any issues staying together. My only complaint would be is that the display could be brighter. You can turn it up somewhat brighter but it does drain the battery faster.

I've never bought pricey tracker like this but I love the water-resistant, gps, heart rate. The running feature is the main reason I bought it. Though I am disappointing on the app and the back lit screen, it's hard to see when there's not enough light.

Waterproof fitness band. Good and accurate in steps due to GPS. Unlike other my friends have that over state steps i feel this is more of a reality 'check'. I wish the software from Garmin offered more suggestions and tips a la the jawbone app. My jawbone died which is why i swithed and i miss that element.

I like this tracker. It does a good jog of keeping track of activities, with the exception of flights of stairs climbed. I especially like the gps function that can give you some map data on the app. The only other downside is that it is a little thick and somewhat uncomfortable when sleeping.

I really like this Garmin hr+. I do wish that it has a second hand or a timer counter on it. I am not satisfied at the fact that it leaves a red rash area on the outside of my wrist, even when it's dry underneath and not sweating. Then the skin brakes down a bit and starts to peel layers like a sunburn would. My son has the same Garmin and it does it to him also. No our watch isn't on to tight either. Respectfully submitted.

I love the battery life on this. It keeps track of my sleep quite accurately, ask me to move about, easy to sync with my Xperia X. I've been wearing this for a month and it shows no sign of wear. It replaced my watch entirely and allows me to glance at my phone notifications through it easily. The Bluetooth connection did not affect my phone battery significantly that I maintained my phone charging routine.

I've been looking to buy a fitness tracker for a while now but didn't want to spend a large amount of money on an Apple Watch so I decided to look at the Fitbit and Garmin watches. I found the Garmin vivosmart watches and loved it. They are waterproof and can go shower/ swimming it. As a nurse I'm constantly washing my hands and running around and it tracks everything accurately! Great product!

Bought for my girlfriend who is a runner. Definitely worth it - built in GPS, waterproof, and messages synced are features not found in many other smartwatches. Only issue thus far has been slight discomfort from HR monitor, but she says it isn't a big deal.

I purchased my Garmin about two months ago. I like the battery life. No problem getting 4-5 days on a charge and it charges fairly quickly. The stairs function I find to be almost completely useless. I wish it had a slightly slimmer profile, I ride motorcycle and the Garmin is uncomfortable under the cuff of my jacket, I can only assume this will be a problem in the up coming winter months as well. I like having alerts from my phone appear on my Garmin. Also, I can't believe how much I realized missing a watch on my wrist to check the date and time! The unit works well but if I were to purchase one again I would look for something smaller only because of how it feels with a jacket/coat.

This selection suits my needs perfectly - waterproof and durable but still sleek and nice looking....yes, I care! It doesn't have too many bells and whistles but it DOES have GPS which matters to me because features I care about are pace as I track and chart my run progress. I am training for a marathon and my Garmin Vivosmart this is an important part of my prep!
