Very reliable fitness tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have worn my vivofsmart hr continuously for five weeks. I recharge it when I am taking a shower. This has worked well for maintaining the battery charge. I purchased this tracker primarily to monitor my heart rate and sleep patterns. It has done an excellent job in bothe catagories. The vivosmart is comfortable to wear with no irritation. I have not had any issues with maintaining sync with my Samsung S6. All of the other functions that it performs have all been flawless. I am not overly joyed with the Garmin fitness app. It does not seem to be easily customized for some activities. I am hoping that if I do additional reading and make a greater effort that I will figure it out. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Also I had a lot of trouble connecting my Garmin to MyFitnessPal. I also feel that the data recorded by the watch was incorrect... BUT it is waterproof.

There are quite a few adjustments users can make to their vivosmart HRs that will increase the accurasy of the heart rate sensors. Your sleep and wake up times can be altered in the settings of your Garmin Connect account online which will aid Garmin Connect in detecting your sleep times more accurately. This can be done at www.connect.garmin.com

I don't know if i didn't have the setting set up correctly, but I did check with the limited options avail. If you're looking for a very basic walking tracker with a small screen it's ok.

The band broke three time in 5 days and needed to be sent back as no replacement bands are available. Traded for a Fitbit Charge 2

I bought it specifically for the heart rate monitor. During the most strenuous portions of my workout it was giving me readings of 50 to 152 and everything in between. Not so great for someone tying to track intervals or trying to stay within a range. This is going back today.
