Customers are saying

Customers recognize the vívofit 2 Activity Tracker's exceptional battery life and ease of use as significant advantages. Many appreciate its water resistance and sleep tracking capabilities, while some find the syncing process challenging and express a desire for a heart rate monitor. The device's size and clasp have also received mixed feedback. Overall, the positive aspects of battery life and ease of use appear to outweigh the concerns regarding syncing and the lack of a heart rate monitor for many users.

    My wife is happy

My wife is a letter carrier and wanted a fitness band (the same brand everyone else uses). After reading reviews I discovered this garmin is better rated, less expensive, never has to be taken off, and never has to be recharged. I can't comment on it's accuracy but I can say that is it consistent when you walk the same route every day. She is happy with it, and I am happy with the price I paid with Best Buy.

Forever battery and automatic sleep tracking

We returned the Fitbit charge for this device. Works much better for my son that we wanted to track sleep on as well as steps. The sleep function requires zero effort from our son. The other brand has automatic sleep, but it never detected him asleep. This does and does it well. It automatically raises the daily step challenge which has helped motivate my son to more activity.

Looked at a lot of different activity trackers and found this to be the best for my needs. I was looking for something that accurately tracked steps - seemed like so many of the other brands were a bit iffy on that point. You can fine-tune step accuracy to the point of being perfect. (10 steps does actually register as 10 steps). I also knew I didnt want to have to charge the device all the time. It's perfect since it has a battery that is supposed to go for at least a year. (Only had it for a month so we'll see - but so far so good). Garmin's Connect displays steps, calories (in conjunction w/ your entries on MyFitnessPal) sleep, and some other features I don't use. Sync up vívofit daily to keep memory low. If you forget for a few days - you lose the sleep tracking data.

This is a great fitness tracker for the beginner or experienced person who wants to keep track of their activity. Because it also is a watch and gives you the date, you only need wear one device. The band comes in multiple colors and 2 sizes (both come with purchase) for the person with small or large wrists. It syncs easily and you are able to sync it to Lose It or My Fitness Pal if you use those sites to monitor your dietary intake. If you have questions, support services is excellent. I think that this is just the best!

I am a visual person and this activity tracker keeps me on track. I used to have an up jawbone but you cannot see anything until you plug it in your phone. With the vivofit 2 you can monitor your steps, it tells you when you have been inactive for a long period of time, monitors your sleep, syncs with your phone...and a lot more. I just love it!!!

I really like this activity tracker. I like the fact that you can switch out bands, that you don't have to charge it every few days like my husband does his Vivosmart. I like that it reminds me to move. I like the backlight. All in all I like it better than the tracker I replaced with it.

I have owned both the Fitbit force and Vivofit 1 & 2. Unfortunately, I was allergic to the Fitbit Force so I looked around and even tried other watches. By far, the Vivofit 2 is my favorite. It has the amenities of the Fitbit Force, yet the battery is year around. I also like the larger screen and lights up when pressed at night so I can see the time. I bought one for my husband and daughter after a month of owning the Vivofit 2.

This is a great fitness tracker. It has large numbers and it's easy to read. The best thing is that I don't have to charge it on a weekly basis since it has a battery that lasts a year. The only bad thing is that it does not automatically sync with my phone app. It is also water proof! Overall it's a great product! Highly recommended!!!!!

I love this fitness tracker because it was cheaper than a Fitbit, works great, fits my large wrists easily, is very accurate, and helps keep me motivated to increase my daily activity. It also keeps track of my sleeping patterns. Because it was cheaper, I was easily able to afford to extended warranty, too. Try it! You won't be sorry!

I researched activity trackers for several months before I actually purchased. I looked into battery life, whether it was waterproof, how the app connected and so much more. I kept coming back to the vivofit 2. I love it. It has been so great. It monitors my sleep, gives me high but achievable goals and connects to apps like myfitnesspal

I'm impressed with this item. I got this as a real replacement for a cheaper device that counted steps while in the car moving my arms. This one is about as accurate as they come, and a great deal for 80 bucks, You can't beat Garmin for distance tracking. That said, it wont do things that others do, but they cost 130 and up. I'm not doing any kind of training, but I do like to make sure I keep moving.

I poured over reviews and recommendations of this, and other, trackers prior to purchasing this product, and I am happy with my choice. It tracks sleep, steps and activities effectively (especially when used in conjunction with the chest strap-mounted Heart Rate Monitor), and the accompanying application is fun, informative and straightforward. The Garmin feels bulletproof, and only rarely feels obtrusive.

An Improvement Over the Original Vivofit

This is a solid fitness tracker. The unit is also waterproof. The Vivofit 2 also adds a backlit display, which finally makes it possible to read in the dark. However, the associated smartphone app is still a little clunky and is not available for Windows phone users. As a whole, however, I'm fairly satisfied with the product.

I enjoy my VAvofit 2 Activity Tracker. It is comfortable to wear. I like that it is water-proof. I like that it is operated by a battery versus having to recharge on the computer. It is Bluetooth compatible with my "old" IPhone 5. It offers a variety of bands, just wish they would have come with the package. I like that I can edit the sleep time as I forget to turn it off. Overall it is a great product.

I bought my vivofit 2 based on an outstanding review by a gadget reviewer on the youtube, who had ranked it #1 in the line up of activity trackers. I guess, and perhaps this is my own fault, I was expecting more from it. I can't say what, exactly .. but I was. In the end it will track your steps (albeit, not with great accuracy) and the sleep function is pretty cool, but I often forget to turn it on when I go to bed. I wish it would automatically detect it for me. One of the big things that bothers most people is the software, but I don't really have a problem with it. It seems to do what it's supposed to. All in all I just feel kinda on the fence about the whole thing. I DO, however, like how it's waterproof. I can hit the shower without having to take it off - or jump in a pool without worry. Maybe I should also spend a little more time getting to know it.

We appreciate your feedback on your Garmin vívofit 2 and would like to lend some assistance regarding the concern from your review.

Your device can be set up to automatically recognize your that you have gone to sleep for the night. This option for setting your sleep time and awake time can be found in the settings of the Garmin Connect Mobile app on a compatible smartphone/device (link for list below) or from your personal Garmin Connect account. So, when you go down for the night it will recognize you are sleeping and when you wake up based off of your movement. However you can still manually set the your device to "Sleep" mode.

Like that it gives a sound to let you know to be active. Wish you didn't have to push the buttons to sync & must be near phone. Would rather it would simply automatically sync when near phone. Overall a good tracker that doesn't need charging for approximately 1 year and can wear in shower daily. Nice features!

Found more information online which helped me out. Works great and gently reminds me I am not moving. I have only had it a month so far. Setting it online and reviewing your progress is great. Don't have to worry about hooking it on and off and stays on your wrist securely. Can even use in the pool!
