Has performed perfectly and has all the features I was looking for. Also, cooks excellently. Good buy for the price.

The slate gray finish with chrome highlights make this a great fit for a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, yet without the annoying SS habit of showing fingerprints. Size is generous and it has all of the most useful features needed in a microwave.

Works great, looks good! We have just installed it so have used it only a few times.

we bought this because it has less black on it that other models and the stainless popped out more! price was reasonable and best buy was actaully cheaper than sears and lowes on it. It appears to make a strange noise 1-2 seconds after hitting start, like something kicking in. I need to call GE and have a technician tell me if this is normal or not, but we love it.

Last year (2015) we ended up replacing our Amana refrigerator, dish washer, and microwave. In all three cases we replaced them with new slate GE units and haven consistently been impressed with the quality, fit, and finish. The GE JVM6175EFES is a mid-sized over-the-counter microwave that works just as well as it looks. It's light weight, easy to install, and has more features than the unit we replaced. I especially like the recessed turntable and the two-position cooking racks. Oh, and the folks at GE nailed the popcorn timer. Really. Perfect popcorn every single time! Finally, the slate finish is gorgeous and is a snap to clean up. I honestly can't think of a single bad thing to say about this unit. So glad that we went with GE this time around!

This product was easily installed and performs as expected.

Installing was a bit of a pain but this one's worth the aggravation. Microwave has a lot of features and a lot of room. The buttons are big and the display is easy to read. I use it a lot for defrosting and baked potatoes.

I bought this for my inlaws and they needed it. It was exactly like their old one but better and more efficient. It was cheap compared to the others and had similar features.! Great buy

We needed a good microwave that was powerful and had many features and this was just that. The size was perfect for where we put it. Overall it is an excellent microwave and we love it!

The microwave is much quieter than the older GE microwave that it replaced. The door opens closed much better than the older model too. Everything works great so far and it's a nice looking unit.

Nice over the range microwave. Quiet operation with a lot of power. The night light on a timer is a nice feature. Quiet operation. Classy look.

I bought this microwave to replace my 16 year old GE that has never had any problems till it died, so i decided to go with a new GE and this works great and the interior volume is so much larger for adding only fractions of an inch on the outside box

Customer service was really helpful finding me the microwaves available that would fit within my cabinet height/width requirements over the stove range. Installation was on time and very good. Microwave has given me no issues at all.

Not living where the new over-the-range microwave is, and have not yet used it. Therefore, evaluation of the product isn't possible, other than the fact that the installers were great and its appearance is fine.

Very nice more of a Matt finish than many other stainless appliances. Lots of nice features and super quiet.

I had this shipped and installed it myself. It worked fine and I liked it overall until it just one day about 6 months after purchase. I'm 90% sure it was a failure of the printed circuit board, but since there were no GE approved repair people in Alaska the only choice I had was to destroy it and order a new one. While testing things, which I strongly discourage novices from doing because there is enough voltage inside to kill you EVEN WHEN UNPLUGGED, I found it interesting that almost all if not all, of the electronic components were Samsung. In fact, I think the only GE part was the emblem and the Serial Number Sticker. GE paid me back what I had paid, ordered, received, installed a new one of the exact same model. I was disappointed at how much wear and tear there seemed to be on the shipping box. Looked like it had been around the world. Upon opening it, and it was sealed and stapled, I found the Styrofoam was all broken up - that's a bad sign. Then after installing it as I was taking off the plastic film that protects it from scratches etc., I found that part of the film was stuck inside the opening to the electronics where the clock and circuit board are located. To me that means at some point someone accessed that area after production. Why? It should be brand new, but I question that. I should also say that when I first ordered this I was told it was out of stock and would be shipped on the 19th. Then a couple days later they said it shipped on the 12th. Did Best Buy 'find' this box somewhere and sell it to me? Not very happy, but it does work. It works after I cleaned out some Styrofoam from one of the wheels that was making the turntable start and stop. I'll post back if this fails.

Replaced an older GE microwave as part of renovation project. Install was super easy & the oven functions almost identically to the older version. No issues and love the new look!!

I wish keypad was lit but other than that we like that the light underneath can be programmed to turn on and off at set intervals.
