Very nice upgrade to GE Profile microwave

Our oven/range died and we couldn't match the colors so we upgraded. We like the new microwave, it is a little bigger inside and some of the features have been upgraded. We expect to get another 17 years from this unit.

This microwave is roomy, has all the more important features, and is very reasonably priced, too.

Hard to read letters and numbers

However, I didn't expect I would have to leave the shelf out when microwaving without it! I find that odd! It is not a big deal, but just seems strange. The thing that is mostly annoying is that I have a harder time seeing the panel. The letters are TOO DULL. They should have used a BRIGHT white for the letters and numbers on the black background. They are almost like a light grayish colour. I have to put my reading glasses on to see them well. I didn't have to do that with my old microwave. In the store, I didn't realize it would be a problem, because they have such bright lights in there, that I could see them just fine without my reading glasses. Other than that, it has been working great.

I am disappointed, though, that Best Buy was unwilling to price match when I went to pay my bill and realized it had gone down in price nearly $50. Granted, it was two days past the 30 days (based on my membership status), but the sale had begun within that time, and I am a longtime, regular customer. Not impressed, Best Buy!

Although it was fairly expensive, it didn't perform as well as the GE we had in our old house. In fact, it underperformed so badly that we gave up and bought another GE. It's every bit as good as we remembered! I will never switch brands again.
