This has been great. I can actually pop mircowave popcorn w/o burning it. Lol

Other than the noise of the fan and the cheap quality of the shelf everything else seems fine.

Overall the appliance works fine. It arrived with a dent in the side. We had already arranged to have it installed right away due to a dinner party and had no time to send it back. I sometimes wish we could shut the quick cook time settings off, but overall a good product.

Am very satisfied with the purchase. Did not need the convection option. Nice. All works as advertised.

Replacing one that was less than 2 yrs. old. So far it has functioned as expected.

This microwave was the second GE overhead microwave I bought and both lasted only for a little over a year! Both broke just passed the one-year warranty period.

New item that did not work. I have not had any luck with GE products!

Picked up in store after being ordered . Took it home , my husband installed it then we realized that the door was broke because it would not close properly. The internal light stayed on. Sent back.

We just installed this microwave last weekend. It looks great, works fine, BUT the light, that is supposed to illuminated the range below, is all the way in the back of the microwave, so it does a terrible job! And we can just barely open the door to change light bulbs as it is right over the control panel of the stove. We had a GE microwave before and that light was in a perfect place to illuminate the cook top so we were quite surprised by this issue.

We ended up needing to replace an over-the range microwave when our old one (from 1990!) burned up. I lucked into an open box of this microwave and got an amazing deal. It appeared it was never installed. Either way it works very well. It heats food evenly and quickly. I haven't tried the defrost setting yet. There's a ton of space inside (especially with the shelf removed), the turntable works, and the popcorn setting works well on a standard size bag. The only complaints I have are that the buttons don't "feel" right--it can take a bit of force for the press to register. The door feels a bit flimsy as well--I'm halfway afraid I'll pull it right off everytime I go to open it. The beeper could be a bit louder as well (it's probably fine, but my old one was very loud and I find this one a little hard to hear). Do be sure and make sure you have the recommended space above your oven, as this is a large microwave. It's a cinch to install--I'm a do-it-yourselfer but I can't imagine anyone having an issue with it. Overall I very much recommend this, particularly at the recent sale prices.

Stainless steel (SS) is normally considered the most luxurious finishes for kitchen appliances. But it shows fingerprints and is a challenge to keep clean sometime. The finish on this range of GE appliances is as elegant as Stainless steel and as the handle has a stainless finish, it will blend with other SS appliances. Plus it has a great capacity, lots of features and yet is value priced. A great combination.
