It's powerful - we're still getting used to how quickly this thing heats up food. Only complaint we have is that it can be too powerful. We've had issues with sparking butter when heating up at high settings. Easily solved by using lower heat settings with it, but it freaked us out the first couple of times it happened.

I liked the absence of fingerprints on the slate finish. Except this model is SO loud that you can't hear anything while its running. Add to that the internal fan that goes off in-between "cooking" and at the end which sounds like a helicopter and you have an annoying unit. Cooks well is powerful and fast but it sounds junkie and I'm hoping to replace it.

Second one lasted longer, 3 years, and this time we bought the 5-yr. extended warranty. BestBuy refused to repair and just gave us an in-store credit, but even getting to that point was challenging due to no return of our calls, no response after visiting store for assistance, and more calls.
