Trash compactor was just what we were looking for. Also it was readily available for purchase.

I know that trash compactors have gone out of style over the past years, but I don’t understand why. Instead of constant trips out to my trash cans, and needing to put multiple cans out at the street due to inefficient, half empty bags, my trash compactor saves me trips, saves me cans and makes great use of space in my kitchen. This GE is the exact dimensions to fit in right where a cabinet door used to be. It fits flush with the other cabinets and is quiet and effective. I’m a huge fan!

bought a matching set and it fits perfectly in the house. salesman was awesome!

The compacting feature of the machine does not work. I will contact GE to see who will address this issue.

My only thing is compactor does not have a way of staying down to compact to compress items

Replaced my Kitchen Aid compactor with this unit, Kitchen aid was way better and stronger than this one!!

Foot pedal no longer opening unit after 2 years. Very disappointed

came with a bent door ... then find out it is no longer being made; so we could get it replaced... would not buy again from shippers. they didn't install properly either. barely installed right before thanksgiving

For a few years had thought about getting a compactor. We finally got one and should have gotten one before. We have plenty of room in our curb side bucket saving us money.

The wheel blew apart in the track. I took a day off work for GE warranty and first visit they couldn't fix it because they don't have the part in stock, then when it was suppose to come in the following week and took another day off, they cancelled on me. They said the wheel was on back order and they couldn't address it for 6 additional weeks. So frustrating and horrible product!

Good compactor, I’ve for over a year seems solid, and sturdy.

It doesn't fit well in opening it doesn't open that easily. Not nearly as good as previous ones I've had in other houses. Not impressed.

This was a replacement for a unite that was in the house and working for over 18 years. This unit was very flimsy as trash compactors go from day one and only lasted 8 months. Now will not compact at all!! Total waste of money.
