Does the job, although could be better with drying

My husband and I have now been using the washer/dryer combo for about 2 months and we like that we have enough room in it to wash a good amount of clothes/towels/sheets etc. we have noticed that we do sometimes need to dry stuff 2-3x. We prefer to do just the wash cycle and then just the drying cycle, not both combined all at once because it takes longer to dry. Overall the product does what we need it to do, although we do wish we would had gotten a bigger one. The way we measured was wrong and that is on us, but the fact we need to dry things sometimes more that once or twice can be a bit much when the drying cycle is about 2 hours long (when the machine isn’t stuffed or full).

Great solution for no vent tight space

About one month daily use. Expectation is the key; this is not the same as separate units and is providing a solution for niche problems of small space and no vent. This unit looses a star for quality of controls. It was not cheap and to use a little sturdier switch assembly and knob unit would be expected and couldn't add much to the cost. This fit into our front compartment closet in our Cyclone 5th wheel but took a lot of patience and muscle aches. When they say 23.5 inches they mean 23.5-23.8 so make sure you have a solid 24 inches of clearance. Cycles flawlessly through wash and dry if you keep the loads reasonably sized. Basically we got rid of the hamper and clothes that come of they go right in and when about half full, which is every morning, we turn it on. It helps to remove clothes immediately after the dry cycle is complete and lay them out for finishing. The will feel damp but are not wet and will not dampen your bed if you lay them out. We do not use most of the features and have found that light and normal wash do just fine for our needs. Level adjustment is key as it will shake if not perfectly level and the load is not too big. We still get a lot of movement but to be fair it is not in the most stable position in our RV which will move a little anyways. Fairly quiet and would not wake a sleeping child or adult in another room. It does generate some heat so even though there is no direct vent, having a well ventilated room is advised. We also added an additional dehumidifier to the room to help control the moisture. With no real lint removal you will find lint both on the clothes as well as left in the machine. It is much less than you would find in a vented dryer which leads me to believe this is less damaging to the clothing but that is anecdotal. You will want to give clothing a quick look over before wearing for left over laundry bunnies as well as wiping out the drum and rubber grommet after every wash. We still take the quilts and other larger items to the fluff and fold but that is a small price to pay to avoid the coin-op laundry.

Great compact washer. Takes a bit to figure out because each mode is so different, so I advise you read through it. Only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because of the drying. Since there is no vented dryer, clothes can easily still be damp when the cycle is done. This especially happens if too much is put in the load, which doesn’t hold all that much. Most of the time I just run another dry cycle after the initial cycle completes and it’s fine. Great overall if you’re looking for a compact washer/dryer with no need for ventilation, or a 220v outlet since it runs on a regular 110v.

For a 2 in one I would say this is pretty nice! If I do a clothes only load it normally dries in first drive, if I do a towels only load it needs a second dry, but that is to be expected with a steam dryer. All around a great purchase for my camper though!

This little guy works really well. Quieter than other machines, though the sound of draining can be a little noisy if you hear it in the middle of the night. It doesn't take up a lot of space and I love having the convenience of not having to move the washed clothes into the dryer since it will do it all at once. Easy to change the settings as well if I want to only wash or only dry. The only real downsides for me is that it's a vent-less dryer and takes about twice the time to dry, and also that it leaves a bit of a funny smell on the clothes when dried in the machine. I'm not sure if it's because it's vent-less or because I'm not using a dryer sheet. Also, it won't dry all the way if it's too full, so make sure you don't fill it past 2/3 of the way. I've had it for about a month or so now and I'm pretty happy with my purchase despite these drawbacks.

Terrific Unit, Watch Our For Spin Cycle

I have had the machine for 6 months. It is a perfect size and it gets light use. The good: again, size is perfect, it takes up very little space and does not need to be vented. It is generally quiet except for issues when it is spinning (more on that later.) It cleans clothes very well and drying time, while a bit long, is not always as long as it indicates on the dial. I appreciate that items are not fried to a crisp. Within a few minutes of taking things out of the dryer, items are typically ready to fold and put away. If I need to hang it up or dry longer, no prob. The drying process is not ruining my clothes/ towels like a standard hot gas dryer would. The notsogood: This thing will shimmy across the room if I do not monitor it. It appears to be dependent on the load. I've read manufacturer excuses about unevenness of floor, etc. that is not the issue in my home. I tried adding stabilizing cups under the 'feet' (via amazon) and it seemed to help a bit, but not that much. Mainly it seems to be worse if load is too small or too large. It makes a huge racket and rattles everything. I have to push this thing back in place every other load. And it's heavy (tons of fun trying to lift this thing to put those stabilizing cups under by myself - not). As I said, when I have the 'just right' load, it is quiet and just does the job. Between the size of the unit and the quality of the wash and dry, it's a keeper and I am happy with it, but know before you buy that there may be issues with the spin cycle and it is likely that this is a GE issue, not a you issue.

This washer dryer combo has been great for me and my wife so far and never gives us much issues. It gets the job done. However, we live in a camper and have no other option but using this washer dryer combo for people who do not have such a situation I would 100% recommend getting a regular set. This barely holds any clothes and takes forever to dry them. Also a large amount of lint comes out of the drain in case that is relevant to you.

I never write reviews, but I found them very helpful when I was looking for this washing machine, so I thought I’d pass it forward. This machine is excellent for what it is — a smaller size, eco-friendly, 2-1 machine. I’ve had it for 2 months now, and so far, it’s been great. It does take longer than a normal washing machine and dryer — about 3 hours total (wash and dry) for most cycles. Some cycles are shorter (my workout clothes wash and dry very fast), and most loads actually end up being shorter than the machine originally estimates. I think the trick is not overloading the machine. I’ve tried to actually follow the manual and fill the machine only 2/3, and that usually reduces the time. Plus, not having to change over the clothes and being able to set the machine to wash later are both great. It’s a little noisy when it spins at the end of the wash cycle, but not enough to bother me. I’m in a ground floor one bedroom apartment, and my machine is right behind my living room wall with no door. It’s basically right behind my sofa, and I’ve been able to watch TV without it disturbing me. Maybe I’d be concerned if I had downstairs neighbors, but I really don’t think the noise is that bad. Given that it’s compact, the machine holds a good amount of clothing. It’s perfect for a single person like me (I do have a furry dog who increases my laundry load) or a couple. Maybe a family of 3.

Very well packed and comes complete with fill hoses and tool to level front feet. This wash/dry combo only needs 110v outlet for power and has the ability to do just wash or dry and complete wash then dry cycles. Easy access from the front for pump cleaning. Been using for over a month with no issues/noises/smells or noticeable changes to humidity in the house. Chose this model for compact size/no vent needed and requires only 110v outlet, it also doesn’t seem out of place as an added appliance in the kitchen.

I like this washer because it’s nice to not have to worry about taking clothes in and out when switching from washer to dryer. It takes a long time tho to finish a cycle. I normally will use the quick wash setting and on extra light or light which lasts like 2hrs. My clothes are normally light wear anyway so this setting does the trick. If you put too many clothes they won’t dry completely and may come out wrinkly. I opted for this option because I live on the second floor of an apartment complex and the closet where the hookups are located is extremely narrrow and I found a lot of people couldn’t install their stackables. This one was the perfect size and requires only one machine to manage up the stairs. It also requires way less electricity versus a regular washer and dryer. The only downside is it is a 2 prong 120V plug and I currently have to use an extension cord. I have to look for and purchase an adapter for the 220V outlet. Also, it would’ve been nice for the door to open more quickly during the drying cycle, but understandable because of the heat component during drying, I’m assuming it’s a safety feature? It does allow to open the door during wash in case you want to add more clothes.

Bought this to replace a similar LG machine that had numerous problems during 7 years of ownership (it was not heavily used either). I was reluctant to buy another LG, but saw the new GE model and decided to go with it. Compared to the LG, this GE is much quieter and doesn't rumble during the spin cycle. Using the "Normal" setting, a load takes about 3-1/4 hours to wash and dry, which is faster than the old LG. Clothes can still come out wrinkled, which is a common issue with this type of all-in-one unit, but not too bad if the drum is only loaded about half full. If items are still damp at the end of a full cycle, the dryer on this GE can be run again for a little while to finish them off without having to go through another wash cycle first. The rubber gasket around the door opening is easy to clean with a baby wipe. Cleaning the filter is a little tricky -- so far I can't get all the water out by using the little drain tube first and some water leaks on the floor when unscrewing the filter. I have limited space in my condo for a washer/dryer. I couldn't find a stackable or laundry center style unit that would fit the way I want it to. So the all-in-one combo style is a decent solution for me. If you buy one, just do your homework first so you know what you're getting into (smaller loads, takes longer to do a load, sometimes clothes come out wrinkled). An advantage (aside from the space-saving aspect) is not having to remember to transfer a load from the washer to a separate dryer - just set it for a full cycle and you're done. Or maybe I'm the only person who's ever forgotten and left wet clothes in the washer overnight and had to wash them all over again. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this GE machine. Hopefully, it will be durable.

Great unit, still looking for the right load size to prevent wrinkles but overall dries well. Love that it is ventless and small. Takes about 3 hours beginning to end. Some people reports lint around the door, I do not have that issue. Run a vinegar wash to break down lint that may accumulate in the condenser as recommended. The filter door is a pain to open. Use a thin screwdriver and push down. Overall very pleased by my purchase.
