Very annoying. Take off the plastic before you assemble it!

The blue plastic is used to protect the finish, and we certainly understand your annoyance with it. You can use a razor blade to score the film around the edges so it can be removed, then remove any remaining film with tweezers. Even on a high setting its warm, my 18yr old basement fridge is much more colder than this one. The orice is great the quality sucks
