    Door seals are junk

Do not waste your money on this refrigerator. The seal is horrible. When you close the bottom door, the freezer door pops open about an inch. The same thing happens when you close the freezer door- the fridge door pops open. We have ALL GE appliances in our home. I had a set of GE washer/dryer that I had for 18 years & never had an issue with. Unfortunately this is 1 product I would steer you away from!

Disappointed: Didn’t Last More Than 3 Years

I expected better durability for the price, but this refrigerator stopped working just after 3 years. It started with minor issues, then noises and inconsistent cooling. It finally completely gave out. For a major appliance, that’s just not acceptable. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for something long-lasting.

    Happy Customer

Found this model GE to replace my existing GE of 38 years. The size was correct for the opening and GE's hinge design allows for no overlap larger than the width dimension. Plenty of storage.

    Dead light

Light stopped working on our barely 3 year old fridge. And it’s not a simple bulb swap. It’s a $150 control board piece.

    Not a good purchase

I bought mine in 2022. Freezer does not freeze Ice Cream, and does not freeze items in the door. In the winter, my soda/beer etc freezes and explodes. Would not buy again. I've had better luck with regular refrigerators in my garage.

If your ice cream is too soft, you may need to experiment to determine the best location and temperature control setting to keep your ice cream at the right serving temperature. The coldest location is typically at the rear of the freezer. For help with adjusting the temperature, please review the "'Temperature Control" section on pg. 5 of the Owner's Manual. Can't count on Best Buy anymore...

I ordered this refrigerator on July 6. Today I was given my 5TH delivery date!!! After years of being a loyal Best Buy customer, I couldn't be more disgusted. I have been "strung along" and lied to consistently about the availability of this product. Finally, a representative was honest today when I asked if it would be available on the next "promised" delivery date. I appreciated an honest answer--finally. But I no longer trust Best Buy.

Can not use in a cold garage.

I bought this refrigerator to put in my garage because it specifically said it was garage ready. Now I have a complete mess because all the soda that I had in it exploded with the cold temperature of my garage. When they exploded they also busted both drawers in the bottom.

    LOUD and Cheaply Made

    Posted .

I just had this delivered today and it is so loud I thought I had the oven hood exhaust fan on, so that should give you an idea as to the noise. Outside of the fridge looks nice but the protective wrapping is even under the actual frame of the fridge so you'll be seeing that for years, the little pieces you could never peel/tear off, and it's like they glued it on rather than a static cling type of protective film they put on washing machines. The inside plastic trays and drawers are about as cheap as you will ever find. The drawers don't slide back and forth smoothly, it all feels like cheap plastic garbage (maybe it's the track the drawers slide on or the very thin plastic drawers themselves). The deli drawer is too small, maybe holding 2-3 small packages of lunch meat and it's full.  Very poor design, material and layout on this fridge, it's disappointing to say the least.  You can definitely tell how GE wanted to save every penny they can on this one. I would NOT buy this again, it is cheap garbage

I got this refig thing it would be a good one because GE made it. man was I WRONG. It would not work on the bottom unless you turned it up full blast and wait 30 hours to get below 40. So they bring me another one, just like it. Guess what. the bottom would not get below 55 even at full blast. Never again.

After the initial installation it was working wonderfully. It was exactly what I wanted. But it stopped working after 2 weeks of it being installed :( We are not sure if it is the product or we just unfortunately received a defective fridge. We are exchanging it.
