    We chose the unit for the size to fit correctly under our counter and for the more modest cost. We have not had it very long so cannot comment on durability. Didn't need many bells and whistles so features adequate. It is noisier than the more expensive units.

    My experience after only one year is that it worked great in the beginning but now the spot that holds the detergent never wants to open so it doesn't get clean. Have tried everything to get it to work.. Spent $400 for a year worth of cleaning dishes. Not very happy.

    It would have been nice if the men that installed it gave a lesson on how to run it. We had to call G.E. for instruction book. We are still trying to understand how to run it. We are both in our late 70's maybe that's the problem.

    I thoroughly researched my buy and decided on this GE dishwasher because of the brand and the availability at Best Buys. I am more than satisfied with this purchase. My last dishwasher was also a GE and it lasted almost 32 yrs. I will by happy if this lasts at least half as long.
