The first 48 hours are noisy as it revs up and is producing ice constantly and other strange sounds as to be expected according to the literature. After that period it is very quiet considering there is no carpeting with 10 foot ceilings in a large open floor plan area. I replaced a similar GE Profile model that was 12 years old and still running. I couldn't be happier with GE and Best Buys responsiveness when I was having some difficulty removing the ice bin. Need to first lift UP then out. The $149 Geek Squad protection plan for 5 years is a bargain.

I was looking for a fridge that would match the colors in my kitchen but didn't want stainless steel, which shows finger prints and which do not permit magnets to attach. The slate finish of this GE fridge solved both problems. Fridge functions well, and magnets really stick. the handles show finger prints but the rest of the surface stays beautiful. It took much longer to get the ice going, and the pastic bins and shelves are not as nice as the sub zero but at a fraction of the price, I think this one is a great value. I would definitely recommend this.

I’ve had this for a year with no issues. Purchased at the outlet at a discount but it was basically new. I noticed it can be a little loud at times when the condenser comes on but you don’t usually notice unless it’s really quiet in your house. Ice maker/water dispenser works well. The shelving can be adjusted to different heights to accommodate taller items. Holds a lot of food for the size. Door alarm if you have kids that forget to close the fridge. Freezer baskets and fridge shelves pull out for easier access.

We bought this to match out quartz counter tops and had some space limitations so this was about the only slate unit that would fit (unless we went to the tiny counter depth unit). Generally we are pleased with this refrigerator. The Slate looks great and the unit does what its intended to do (keep things cold). The Ice maker seems slow to produce ICE and seems to want to crush them rather than giving cubes. The unit's compressor is louder than our 20 year old unit that was replaced but not so much that its a problem. The light at the top of the unit eats up a lot of space. I would have thought LED lights would be much smaller!

I bought this fridge due to several features that are important to me such as LED lighting, large EZ access ice and adjustability of shelves. I must say the water/ice dispenser works great, I am extremely disappointed by the dim LED lighting however. had I known this it would've been a deal breaker. Two LED arrays, one on top and one in lower rear is woefully inadequate once the fridge is filled with food. To rectify I bought 3 LED strip lights and installed them under front lips of the shelves and one on top, see photos.

This is a good refrigerator. We upgraded/changed from our 16 yr old 3-door model. Our old model only had filtered water that was accessed from the inside so moving to this model where you can get a glass of water and now ice (crushed or cubed) from the outside of the door is great. The difficult adjustment is moving from having a wide open space that 3-door models offer in the cooling area to the narrow, deep space that 2-door models have. Sometimes it's difficult to see or find something that gets pushed to the back which could lead to wasted food because you couldn't see it. The freezer side is a trade off. It's narrow and deep allowing us to find things easier and much better than searching through a drawer of frozen items much like searching through a sock drawer. Overall, a purchase we're happy with.

Very easy to organize and plenty of space. The only complaint is the doors will not stay open when getting things out. Unless it is completely back which does not work in the space we have.

I am enjoying my new fridge. It has ample space and for the price I think it is the best choice. I had the ge profile before and this one has fewer " features" but I fnd I don't need them. Space and functionality and price is what matters.

We transitioned from an old top freezer model which was too small for our needs. This s/s is so spacious even with half being given over to freezer, that I can find anything I need now. Makes great ice and cold water as well as keeping everything very fresh

We exchanged our WHIRLPOOL 25 CU. FT. SXS stainless refrigerator for this model. The whirlpool model was just too loud for me. It was actually louder than the 14 year old refrigerator we replaced, so I asked the folks at Best Buy if they could help and they did. The salesman was very helpful and quickly helped us get it replaced with the GE side-by-side. I really like the GE model and would give it 5 stars, but it too has an issue. It gurgles and makes noise due to the flow of compressor refrigerant, It's a bit irritating at times, but nothing compared to the noises the whirlpool was making. Plus, this refrigerators filtered water is fresh and good tasting. The inside of the fridge is roomy and spacious.

We purchased this refrigerator to replace ours that would require defrosting by hand. Really enjoy the ability to adjust the shelves in the door of freezer. And also how the ice maker is quick to make ice to refill bucket. So far the inly complaint is the filter that came with the water unit plugged up within two days of use. I just removed and placed the plug tgat came with it and am not using the filter. No issues.

The ice maker works great, we love the adjustable shelves. Very convenient

I have only had my refrigerator For 1 week and I love it. It has a lot of room and drawer space. The freezer is nice also. I really like the slate color.

This refrigerator had been fantastic and we haven't had any issues at all with it. Ice maker works great and freezer doesn't over freeze.

I read tons of reviews on GEs and other brands before landing on this one. The fridge has some manufacturing issues that I observed, the right top corner of the control panel has a gap (every display model had the same issue, some worst than others) and also the doors don't line up horizontally no matter how much you adjust and they are not flush on the surface. It also runs a little louder for my taste but I heard this was something to do with their energy efficiency. Overall it keeps the temperature accurately and the slate color is amazing in hiding smudges and fingerprints. For the price, I'd recommended it to anyone.

It has plenty of room, easy to get water, ice and crushed ice. Keeps things really cold and is quiet.
