I got this as a deal of the day extra for $249. Great for me in South Florida during the summer in case needed. I've had other portable Ge air conditioners but the wall and window variety they performed exceptionally well and lasted also.

Compact and easy to install; kept the bedroom we were in very comfortable and at a constant temperature of 68 degrees. The noise factor wasn't loud enough to bother us while sleeping. We purchased this unit while on vacation visiting family who lived on a military base where their apartment had no central air. The temps while we were vacationing were some of the highest they have had in the last year and this unit allowed us to enjoy our visit with comfort without breaking the bank.

It was a great purchase, easy to install and cool very well. Would def recommend if you need a quick and easy freshener.

This a/c unit saved the day! On a steamy September day in Orlando, FL, our household a/c decided to die. We picked up this portable GE same day, and we were immediately able to cool off the entire master bedroom. It is very easy to install and operate. We have used it periodically while awaiting a new household a/c system (severely delayed due to COVID-related manufacturing issues) so this portable unit is exactly what we needed to survive those hot Florida nights.

I got this for a smaller bedroom in our house. We had bigger portable units in our house after having our windows replaced with energy efficient windows that would not accept window A/C units. We ended up using this to supplement those and it saved us on a 96 degree day when the other units could not keep up. We liked the window exhaust attachment much more then the bulky round exhaust ports on the other units. This fits better for the sliding windows and is fairly quiet.

I've been very happy with this fairly portable AC unit. It has a nice power blower to cool a 200 sq/ft space easily.

This portable AC unit is small, portable, and very powerful! It easily cools an entire room! Highly recommended!

It’s a little loud but works. With the assistance of fans the coolness goes a bigger distance than 250 sqft.

This unit is very poorly designed and won't last you much more than a year. The remote only works 3 ft away from the unit. It freezes up, then doesn't drain, due to its design, causing water to build up in the fan blower. When this happens, over time it will cause the unit to spit out ice, water and of course mold from the blower. It has two separate evaporator areas. The upper and lower. On the upper, where the fan is, they placed the drain slightly above the drain pan, which is really just the fan compartment. This can cause water to stagnate and mold and mildew to for. If and when this happens, due to the fan, the ac unit will shoot out whatever is in the compartment. Whoever came up with this idea wasn't very bright. Also, the motor that controls you venting is rather loud and randomly clicks at times. The vent itself is rather tiny so the unit itself is better with 100 sq ft at best and NOWHERE NEAR 250 sq ft as listed. The intake filters is awkward. On the lower you have it on the side and wraps around the back making for a curved air filter. This makes it harder to clean. The upper is just a single small filter. Overall, I would go with any other brand for this is poorly made, a horrible design and just won't last. If you need something for 100 sq ft or less then this may work better for you. This is used in a 148 sq foot room and this just doesn't cut it.

It does the job. We got it for our master bedroom. We have central air, but it’s hard to keep the upstairs cool at night. This helps a lot. It is very loud though and takes up a bit of space.

Glad I bought this portable air-conditioner to cool off my apartments it works very well I’m just a little worried that the part where the air comes out it’s going to get rusted soon because there is water coming out of it

Very good unit, a little loud but to be expected with a portable unit. The only negative thing about the unit is the window mounting, it does not fit very well had to do a little rigging.

Easy to install. A bit noisy but worth it. Home HVAC struggles in summer with upstairs so this augments the hottest room.

It cools, the exhaust is an issue and didn't fit my window, so had to buy another option for the exhaust. part of that was my fault and part was the description.
