We've had this fridge for a month now and it replaced an old school side by side. it is huge inside. more fridge space than we need for a family of 4 if you really get down to it. but that means no more shuffling stuff around to find things. freezer is adequate, b ut probably more space than our old one! only issue is the inside full width drawer and one of the two veggie drawers do require you to open BOTH fridge doors, but that's a minor issue.

Installed in Jan 2020, after two weeks it started making loud noises. GE replaced the compressor fans and other fans. Quiet for 2 weeks and then noise returned. Latest GE tech says it is normal. Now the water dispenser stopped working. Replaced the filter still no water. GE service is trying to figure out the problem and has ordered parts. No projection on parts availability. So we have an 8 month old noisy refrigerator that can't make ice or dispense water.

large and spacious fridge runs quiet and works well

We had our last GE Profile for 25 years, and it was a great unit. Right to the end it cooled very well. This one - well, it doesn't. Set to 34 degrees it barely gets under 40, so we keep the milk in the $400 Kenmore out in the garage, which chills it beautifully. The new GE has pretty LED's and stainless steel but fails in its primary purpose, keeping the food cold. Geek Squad has been out multiple times, replacing the thermistor and main board. They told me the last time that temperature was "well inside the acceptable range." I'm pretty sure they just want to be done with me, but this thing is a dud and needs to be fixed or replaced. Whoever designed the icemaker in the door needs to be fired. Every time we go to use it, it jams. We have to open it up, break loose the ice, and get ice directly from the bin while we're in there. We installed the 2nd icemaker in the freezer just to avoid having to use the door ice bin. It's awful. I can't recommend this refrigerator. There are much better ones for far less money. Stay simple and get a unit that can keep food cold.

The color (slate) is beautiful. The performance is excellent.

Our Entire kitchen was GE Profile in Slate finish except for the refrigerator and we absolutely hated our current unit - a Samsung - so we caught this unit on sale and never looked back. Buy with confidence - Best Buy’s price match policy is second to none - we saw the same unit advertised for less and Best Buy customer service happily refunded the difference quickly and painlessly. What’s not to love?

GE has been good to us with the Kitchen appliances. We own our frig, stove, dishwasher & Microwave in the Slate finish. Very Happy and would recommend.

Love my giant Slate fridge from GE. Has everything you could want and more. Great lighting, large bins, super chilling feature, nice ice and water dispenser, open door alarm, easy glide freezer drawer, and nice sliding compartment dividers. Had a side by side, went with a French door top, bottom freezer, and I love it.

This replaced an 18-year-old GE side-by-side. I've wanted a French Door design for quite some time. The design of this refrigerator meets our needs very nicely. There is some noise from the compressor motor, but we find it to be minimal and completely acceptable - less noise than the one it replaced, which wasn't bad either.

So far I am very satisfied with this refrigerator. Lots of space. easy adjustable shelves. My one critique it the plastic wrapping it comes in from the manufacturer is extremely difficult to get off because it is pit inside the insulation.

We really like the style of the refrigerator however, the slate color has been a conversation with our guess.

My wife and I wanted something other than the normal black/white/stainless color options for our appliances. The slate finish is awesome. No fingerprints and the front of the doors are magnetic unlike traditional stainless steel.

Delivered within the expected shipping date which is awesome! Honestly for the money I would hope for a few for features but the fridge is awesome and the slate is beautiful! Highly recommend.

We Love our new fridge. It has a lot of extra space! The ice cub tray is kinda small though

So far I have only good things to say about this refrigerator. The finish is great, no fingerprints. Really like french doors. You're not opening the whole refrigerator to get an item out. The ice and water in door work great. Much better than our previous refrigerator. A+ so far.

It's pretty and I like having the extra room. The fridge is a little more noisy than we expect, but I'd still buy it again.

Everyone at the location was helpful , cheerful and showed me all the featured to the GE refrigerator I purchased on black Friday. The refrigerator is big enough for a family of 5 and accommodats us. Has several shelving options, stays cold and has a bottom freezer.

Their refrigerator has not stop leaking water or ice until we somehow locked the dispenser . we were to get a new dispenser bar within a week. We are now told it will take a month to get the part. Obviously parts are hard to get. It seems that QC is done by the customer.
