The fuse for the infinite switch broke two times on two separate models. First cooktop: Switch broke after 6 moths and tripped the circuit. Second cooktop: Literal sparks flew inside the glass near the switch. Tripped the circuit breaker. Electrician tested the lines and circuit breaker after disconnecting cooktop, circuit breaker works fine. When reconnecting to the cooktop, trips the circuit. I have a 5 year Geek Squad Protection Plan. Geek Squad is refusing to do anything about this even though the plan activates DAY OF PURCHASE. They want me to contact GE. If both GSP and 1 Year Manufacturer Warranty run concurrently, why does the customer need to waste their time and coordinate between 2 entities?

So far so good! This GE cooktop heats up quickly and distributes the heat evenly. The install was straight forward and very simple. I've really enjoyed cooking on this unit, our last GE lasted almost 25 years, so I am hoping we just as long out of this one. Got this unit on a new year sale and the price was about 1/3 of the normal cost. Thank you!

So far this has been a great stove top! It fit almost perfectly within the space I had for it, and it works great! For the price, I think it looks very stylish and functions well! Great value for sure

I love this cooktop! I like the layout of the burners, and choices of small and large burners. Love the Power Boil. Heats quickly and then keeps at a nice rolling boil.

11/3/23. Very nice/chic looking cooktop. Adds lots of character to the overall kitchen. Works great. Love it.

I chose this cooktop because of the similarity in style and function to my old one (figured it would be more likely to fit the cutout), and because the dimensions were almost exactly the same with only a 1.75-2" difference in the depth (the part you don't see once installed). It fit perfectly! I also liked that it had the features I wanted without extras that I didn't that would have driven the price up! I'm a satisfied customer, absolutely pleased with it so far. I don't like gas, so I'm not frustrated by the differences. I've had no issues with being able to tell when it cycles on and off. The surface is easier to clean than my old cooktop. The controls are easy to use, and I made sure I picked a unit that had dial markings I could see without reading glasses! One thing I especially like is that so far a fan hasn't come on... and since a clattery, loud fan was a problem with my old JennAir, I love its silence (unless I forget the lock is on and start up the cooktop!). Thumbs up and five stars.
