They sell the kit assuimung u are going to take the cheap contractor route and blow the air back in your house out the top part of their system.

Love the fact that it has a light with variable settings, also. Nice product.

The remote was not in the box. I am waiting to hear from GE about getting it replaced. Except for missing remote, this is a really nice vent, quiet. Works well.

The unit says it is for a 9 foot ceiling, however when I opened the box the instructions say it fits an 8 foot 9 inch ceiling. I had to buy the extension kit.
