This was purchased as a replacement for my larger 50pint unit since GE dies not have a warranty replacement pricess. Instead they send you to purchase a replacement unit at your own cost then they will mail you a check months latter fir what they dean is a partial goid will certificate. When i picked this 35 pint unit up it was running much quieter and seemed to be better than the 50 pint unit. Both dehumidifiers ended up dying with the error code Eb which is for empty bucket. Well when this is running continuously hooked up to a drain hose, there wont be any watter in the bucket. This seems to be a common issue with GE Dehumidifiers. Overall I would stay far away from these GE Dehumidifiers. They will not stand behind their product plus you have to pay to dispose of these at the dump.

If you let it run all day and you live at the beach, like I do, you will have to empty the container daily. I highly recommend.

It does the job and keeps my walk-out basement really dry and no odor of mildew/mold in couches and other furniture. Basement is well-protected with this doing a great job. I would definitely buy again if needed. It does not cost more in energy at this size.
