This dehumidifier works great. I put in basement using the hose outlet for continuous use. SmartDry works too.

I purchased this dehumidifier from Best Buy in November 2024. By July, it had already stopped working and displayed an "Eb" error code. I contacted Best Buy support, who told me to bring it to the store. After hauling this heavy unit in, the store turned me away and told me to contact GE instead.
Getting in touch with GE was a frustrating experience. After multiple attempts, they finally responded—only to inform me that the model had been discontinued. Their solution? Buy another GE dehumidifier from their store, and they’d refund a maximum of two-thirds of what I originally paid.
This is how GE handles a warranty? Extremely disappointing. I expected better from both GE and Best Buy. I won’t be purchasing GE products again.

Junk , do not buy

I have had this machine for 61 days and now past the return window and it has failed in service 3 times. It is in my attic, for humidity control in my foamed insulated home. I have humidity sensors there that alert me when humidity gets high. This machine keeps erroring out with E6code. I thought the first 2 times were power failures we have had but this third time is not related to power loss. I purchased this expensive unit because I have been having to replace the cheap ones ($120) from amazon every 3 years. This one does not appear to make it 2 months!

I have purchased two of these and both failed less than 6months, first purchased 9/24 and died with Eb error and second purchased on GE good will check on 6/25 and it already died with Eb error. Save your money.

Error code that renders it useless after 57 days of use. Beyond return window and GE has more hoops to jump through for a "Goodwill Certificate" - instead of replacing the thing.

This thing is junk. Going to GE for warranty now. 59 days and this junk doesn’t work anymore. Maybe used 30 days total of the 59 days since purchased April 29th.

Cheap product. Worked for 6 weeks and then just constantly throws an " E6" code and stops working. Sending this back for a replacement. Warranty is only good for 12 months so beware.
